I also used to not like Shemp when I was younger cause I was really hooked on Curly, Shemp did start growing onto me as I've gotten older and I definitely agree with you that Shemp is way underrated, I still do prefer Curly over Shemp but Shemp is great in his own right.
I am Curley!!!! Made fun of my whole life because of my name. I play tenor sax and insisted we do this song in the band. Always a hit in the Bionic Arm Band. You have to love it!!!! Hey Moe!!!
Well, all you youngsters out there! I am 51 and my brother and I grew up watching the Stooges on afternoon TV. We still love them and I am forwarding this vid to my brother so he can laugh along with me! God Bless the Three Stooges!!
I grew up watching the Sotoges on Late Night TV in Chicago and eventually Saturday afternoons right between American Bandstand and Pro Bowlers Tour. And I was introed to them by my Mother who watched em as a kid. In fact my Uncles and I still do the skits. Cant get much funner than Moe Larry Curly and Shemp
some friends of mine and I did this at our school variety show... guess who played Curly? I looked the part cuz i was fat and at that time bald from chemo- generated a lot of laughs but some ppl were upset because I was the butt of all the slapstick [having my nose twisted, kicked in the pants, being bopped on the head etc.] Still was a great time though.
I wouldn't be surprised being that most Mets fans are a bunch ignorant fools. The sophisticated New Yorkers tend to gravitate to the Yankees. I'm a Corona resident who says 22 years and counting is...way too much to argue. Losers.

Old friends and music from the North Shore of Chicago. My old friend Rick Gourley on bass, Tom Furlong on pedal steel and Peter Quin's great vocals..I used to watch these guy's in thier early days in Wheeling Ill. Bob Lindsy was the drummer in those days and a friend of mine..Bob,I and our friends Jack Garrett and Steve McHendrick started a band in 6th grade. I remember doing our first gig at the DGS school.I sure miss old my old friends back in Deerfield.Dale(Grohe)
I'd agree with you there. Joseph Wardell aka Curly Joe DeRita is a blend of Curly Howard and Joe Besser. Wardell would have turned 100 on July 3 this year.
Back in summer 1984,Philadelphia-based WTAF(now WTXF) had its Three Stooges Afternoon Hour and this song(about the first minute of it) opened and closed the show, preceding and following three select shorts.
Thanks for the update. I haven't had that station in my cable system since 1988. That station was replaced by the 10/1/88 launch of Turner Network Television.

??? Who cares about a stupid detail about a nothing city from a nobody??? Good for you...you have been mayor loser from loser central...we get it. Thanks.
question for anyone- wasn't the 45 record pulled from the shelves because of a law suit over the rights of the song from the family members o the stooges. i have heard who owns one of the 45's, its a collectors item.
Long story short: Columbia Pictures did try to sue, but never would have won because Jump did not use any of the 3 stooges voices or mention the 3 stooges. Still, they settled with this video out of court and split the money.
Watched them all the time growing up, especially right before going to school on Slam Bang Theater (Channel 11 Fort Worth, Texas). NYUK NYUK NYUK!!! Bowl of cereal and some laughter to follow. Good times. Got my girls hooked on them. They love Curly (who doesn't). Thanks go out to the "boys" who brought much laughter in my youth, and still do to this day.
comedy at it's finest, they don't have comedy like that nowaday's. . .it would be number one in this country if they did comedy like that, instead of being too dignified.

They don't make comedy or humor like they used to, and unfortunately we are all the poorer because of that. No one can ever replace the stooges, and that's why I wish they could show this to the younger generation (tweens- I myself am 21 and LOVE the stooges!) to show them that what they see is not "the funniest ever"- this is something that will be funny even hundreds of years from now!
i just turned 35 and watched them all the time growing up. I happened to have them on TV not long ago and my 7 and 4 year old LOVED it. I have the Jumpn' the Saddle 45 (record for you youngin's) around here somewhere.
In the mid-1980s, the New York Mets used to play this song and the video during the 7th-inning Stretch. They had to stop when the producers of the video threatened to sue unless the Mets paid huge fees for the right to air it.
I have not seen that vid in almost 24 years. I remember taping the song to cassette and playing it over and over. Thanks to whoever posted this rare and lovely tribute.
