Back then, you could stomp and soccer kick all you wanted. It had nothing to do with respect or whatever. The MMA rules you know today are essentially a result of shogun kicking everyones ass this way.

they need to allow any type of elbow strikes forward or point i UFC..also incorporate soccer kicks and stomps from pride. introduce legal punching in the back of the head. NO headbutts No biting or small joint manipulation. it will be more exciting

@krazzyyo2 punches in the back of the head can affect the medula oblongata which is the part of the brain that controls breathing a heartrate. so if you get KO'd and that part of your brain is fucked from shots to the back of the head then you can stop breathing or your heart can stop. the reason they don't allow soccer kicks and stomps is because of the cage. in a ring the ropes don't trap your head. in the cage your head can get stuck at a bad angle and a stomp could fuck your neck up.......
