With all due respect to Peter Green (I'm a fan of his) nobody does Otis Rush like Otis Rush. Mayall in an OK vocalist, Otis is amazing, Green is a very good guitarist, Otis wrote the book on the style he does (Albert King came later). The Brits may have brought attention back to the real creators of the Blues but they can't play them like the originals.
Yeah, you picked the right version here as there are many versions available on cd's where Mayall's voice was double-tracked by ADT (automatic double tracking) and then one of the vocal tracks was "mistreated" by a flanger. Sounds horrible. The track you used sounds just like the original single (Decca F12621).
