ooh, that's a tough one. in my experience, needing someone to change isn't the best basis for a relationship. you should be able to love the one you're with just the way they are. if someone needs to change, maybe that someone isn't the best person for you. but what do i know.

that's a really difficult situation. there are lots more important forms of support than financial. no choice is guaranteed to be the right one, unfortunately, but perhaps at some point in the future you'll be able to look back on this with a lot less torment and pain. regardless of the choices you do make, hopefully they can be made in a way which can respect and maintain friendships all around. at the end of the day, i think, that's what will be most important. good luck, and best wishes.
