Considering that Bruce and the band eventually sold millions, I just hope that Clarence was well aware of the literally millions of lives Bruce's music touched (thanks in no small part to the Big Man).......................to say you're missed, C.C., would be an understatement.

Thank God Bruce toured so much this century, especially in 2009 recreating his greatest albums with The Big Man by his side. Yes, the Boss will reinvent the band, but it will NEVER be the same without Clarence. Never. You just had to be there during the glory days, friends.

Like Danny Federici's before him, the Big Man's passing represents another huge loss and another inevitable step towards the end of an era; a further dimming of (for me, anyway) the brightest constellation in music...the E Street Band.

I have grown up and grown old with these people and to lose them is like losing members of the family. God bless and Godspeed to you both.

Clarence Clemons, who played saxophone with Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band, was in jail Saturday on charges he punched and kicked his girlfriend at a vacation home in the Florida Keys.
