This field has sat idle for 25-30 years. What you didn't see is all of the trees that had to be pulled out. I brush hogged the entire field then, because it had trees about 6 feet high with trunks about 1" in diameter. I planted winter wheat in this field. Thanks for looking.
Is that front end showing a little wear? LOL! It's a good think you had a furrow to keep you going in a straight line. Thos old farmalls were never known for having real tight frontends. They must not be too bad as lots of them are still going.
You are correct. I had a broken ball joint in back of the pivot pin. It was ok until 2" pivot pin broke. Thought it would last until a winter rebuild. I was wrond, it broke and front end fell to the ground.
Woa, you are a lucky guy. I have heard of that happening and the driver got hurt bad when he got tossed out of the seat and the rear tire dang near ran over him. But he was IIRC pulling a wagon and that pushed the tractor unlike a plow would do. Mark
