  • how does it fly with the motor in the back??

Also I bet its heavy with that battery so it probably flies pretty fast, how does the dihedral do in high speeds?

    Thanks

  • @DJOgurchik It flies really well. Nice control during low throttle and strong enough to handle the faster speeds. Flies just like any other glider. The only thing is you have to keep it nose heavy. Instead of adding weights, use a higher capacity battery; plus longer flight times. Thanks for watching.

  • okay its not really ten buck cause you need to buy the remote and the parts to put into the plain lol BUT REALLY COOL

  • Where did you find the CG to be after flying this bird? I just got the same glider :D

  • @RoboTekno 3-4" from the edge of the wing near the fuselage :)

  • I'm new on this and I need some input from you guys. What type of motor should I used if I'm going to do the same with mine?

  • @RobertoPCarro Any motor will work, just keep it light. If you decide to place the motor at the rear of the model, you need to keep it light so you don't end up tail heavy. Any motor that draws 150-200W with a 8-9inch prop will do. Don't buy the shitty motors from china because the glue that holds the magnets inside melts and comes loose causing it to malfunction. Not a good scene mid-flight! I recommend Electrifly Rimfires and any E-Flite motors. Get a high amp ESC to prevent fires too, lol

  • @cthephasone Thank You for that info. Looking now at them do you think the rimfire 250 with a ss-25 ESC will work? I think after that I will need the servos and the controller. I was thinking to buy HS-55 servos but then I don't know what controller I should buy. Any ideas?

  • @RobertoPCarro the 370 or 400 will probably be better, just in case when you get into trouble and need that extra power to get out of it. Since the plane is big, these motors can easily take 3 cell batteries.

As for the transmitter, depends on your budget. If it's not an issue, go for the Futaba or JR Txs. For budgeting, go for the Spektrum models. I rock with the spektrums cause thats what I started with and never had any problems. Google is your friend on the different models you can get.

  • the orange and yellow wires go up on the ar500

  • where do you plug in the balancer on the battery? i plug in the positive and the negative but i dont know where to plug in the balancer

  • Did you use the ss-45 silver series 5v 2a Bec 2-4 LiPo?

  • @pks7777777 Nope, I used the ss-25.

  • @cthephasone do you think that will cause a problem if i use the ss-45?

  • one last thing i saw there was something on the motor like a stand and P.S. how do you get the propeller to stay on mine is very loose

  • where do you get the propeller

  • @pks7777777 ...from a hobby shop. The brand is "APC" size 7x4.

  • where do you get a airhogs titan i cant find one

  • so do you need one or two lipo batteries

  • @pks7777777 I used one battery, "Kypom" 3S 11.1v 2200mah

  • how do you solder the motor to the esc?

  • @pks7777777 Instead of the standard plugs, I cut them off and solder on wires to extend it to the back where the motor is, you can see the electrical tape covering the solder job :) thanks for watching!

  • nice spektrum dx6 but dx8s are better

  • @MrRcfever I sure hope so, the number 8 is generally greater than 6. Thanks for watching :)

  • im a little confused about the ar500 and the spectrum controller can you eleborate?

  • @pks7777777 The ar500 is a 5 channel receiver designed by Spektrum. I like the two aileron ports on it because you don't need to use a Y-connector in some applications. The DX6i is a 6 channel transmitter by Spektrum, it binds well with the ar500. Thanks for asking!

  • ahh kick ass man i had this idea to do it some what simular before i even saw this video i just went on youtube to get an idea of what i might do instead or if i should have changed anything nice plane!

  • nice work im doing one now but with a shorter nose shorter wings prop in front

  • Thanks man , I'll keep you posted.

  • Excellent modifying, flying and excellent version of Miss You . I'm still just throwing my Titan at the park as is like a faggot. I am going to try and do that. Thanks for posting !

  • @Brettfowler good luck!

  • @cthephasone

Thanks man, I'll keep you posted and probably be asking for help .

  • what model motor is that one? i have the same plane i was gonna do the same thing to just looking around for some hardware for her

  • @exiledconnections I forgot what motor it was exactly cause I ripped the sticker off it. I think it was a brushless electrifly motor of some sort.

  • Looks like it flies GREAT. Where is the cg? Thanks for the vid.

  • did you have to make a mod to the wings? to add resistance?

  • @mariokaka1

yeah, I put a carbon fibre rod through the wings, I noticed too much flex without them, they look like they might have snapped without them.

  • Great video...Would love to have you around here..I'm not so handy with stuff like that. I have a firebird phantom that is sitting there doing nothing because I can't fix the tail boom rod thing :( Great video!

  • Neat job. Ell mucho Cheapo planeio . LOL
