I would suggest everyone to invest a in a camera stabilizer for moving shots. I've been using a Cam Caddie Scorpion with great success getting smooth shots. It's less than $40 and very effective.

The main difference is in the optical coating on the lens and a couple of extra buttons and slightly enhanced CCD's. Pretty much the same as between the Canon XL1 and XL1s
