Perhaps if more people THINK for themselves, rather than take one "side" or another based on whatever nonsense the media has spoon-fed them, then we'll stand a chance of not getting into another major conflict. However, I'm not at all confident that we'll ever get people to think critically, because thinking is hard work; much easier to believe whatever is the press and follow whatever "opinions" that they spew-out. @TheSpaceanus You're 100% correct of course. Conscription is even worse than slavery. Most slaves aren't asked to kill people they don't hate, fear or even KNOW. I just can't see a time (not in my lifetime) when people across the globe see what is happening, realize that they are being used, wake up, and stop acting like cattle. I'm like you: It's better to die standing than live on your knees.

Perhaps, whenever our wonderful leaders' feel that their manhood/womanhood is threatened, they can't help but act in accordance with their nature, and start conflicts. The idea as implied in the video, that new inventions only come from wars is idiotic. If all the time and money that was invested in making war and war machines was invested in improving life and taking care of the planet we would be orders of magnitudes ahead of where we are. When you have a business do you get ahead by killing your customers and employees while burning down the factory? you have fallen for the military industrial complex's brainwashing. Very sad.

I believe that another major war is going to happen because we really haven't changed much in the past few thousand years. To have global change of mindset is asking for a lot and I don't think it will happen before another big war. I do not believe in the industrial military complex and agree with Eisenhower about it. Once it's over, we may rethink our way of life and improve it massively.
