The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion On FX 5500 using Oldblivion

The FX 5500 should have run Oblivion without the Oldblivion mod, though.. Did you try? Or just like the performance balance better with Oldblivion?

And hey I have an old pc in the basement that i'm taking to my beach house, it's an Athlon XP 2200+ with 1.5gb DDR400 ram and a Geforce FX5500 256mb AGP 8x

I never tried Oldblivion, could that PC play the game with it?

@cd1str013r you can only play TES:oblivion with oldblivion on that card. i don't have that pc anymore, actually i play oblivion maxed out at 1080p. PD: I can't wait for TES:Skyrim ^^

@DOMIPS yes you can run oblivion with that computer, i dont know how much fps, but for example now i run oblivion on a Saphire 5770 VaporX at 1080p maxed out 4x AA and about 40 - 55 FPS and the same mods

Look up "Can You Run It" on google, it's a program usually used to find out if your Pc can run a certain game, it scans your computer and tells you your specs in comparison with games.

Im not longer have this video card, this video are of my old computer, i have a new computer and plain to get a new video card, i like the ATI HD 4650 or one of the HD5000 series. thats video card run this game maxed out.

@haarp35 skyrim YES, but witch one of the hd5000 becos a 5650 wil not be good for a upcoming game like skyrim, but a later hd5000 (like 5770) wil do the job

@Dramzul Yeah that processor is definitely limiting the capabilities of the rest of your hardware... Happened to me before, it's really frustrating.

@haarp35 if you want a better graphics card call your manufacturer of your computer and see if one of the newer cards are compatible. I recommend an ATI Radeon 4350 because it delivers power at only $50-70.

@tuton7 yes u can play better than my settings, because ur video card is good enough and u dnt need to use oldblivion. i dnt remember my non-fraps framerate, cuz i dnt have that video card anymore, sorry.

Because i use Fraps to record this video and fraps slow down the framerate on recording.
