I commend the girls for doing their best and the choreographer(s) and costume designer(s) for keeping Armenian culture thriving through their artistry.

I'm in the Hamaskayin Ani ensemble, and a year or so back we recreated this... Only two girls (twins) danced it. It was very beautiful :)

SVGoldy I Have to agree with you I dance this song with different choregraphy and Our way is cleaner and and the faces stay the same not one girl smiles. one is following with their eye. I was an Armenian Group Dancer for six years of my life and no way would that choreograpy would hit the stage.

They have to listen to the song and to the lyrics to know how the dance is to be done.

The beauty of the Armenian dance is in that the dancers move in unison and harmony. This bunch looked as harmonious as wild chicken in a mating frenzy.

This was a level and quality that would only pass in Bourj Hammoud.

'hayastan'= gypsyland

just look at a hindi / english vocabulary

and the suffix -stan or -istan is used only by moslems like pakistan, afghanistan, turkmenistan,...

You're clearly oblivious to the merits of evidence-based statements. I suggest you pick up an elementary book, for the time being, on anthropology/linguistics. Armenians are indigenous to the territories they occupy from time immemorial. Not that there is anything objectionable to being indian gypsies etc.
