  • Have found this song on quite a few CD's but song is sung only by Rachid. In this video, he is accompanied by the sax player. Anyone know where I can find this exact version?

  • FionaPap, this version of "Ala Jalkoum"(featuring Femi Kuti, the sax player and singer) belongs to the album "Rachid Taha Live". It was recorded in Belgium (2001).

  • Thank you so much. I'm crazy about this version! Have a great New Year!

  • He looks so young in that clip! I wonder when it's from. I saw him in Oslo a few months ago and he alot older than I've seen in pics. But the performance was anything but:P Jumped around on the stage, and the band were great:D Medina was the highlight, gotta love that guitar solo:P I wonder what Ala Jalkoum means? Anyone know arabic? Rachid's best song: Valencia, most delicate song ever made=)

  • Rachid Taha was born in September 18th, 1958 and this concert was recorded in 2001 (in Belgium), therefore Rachid Taha was already 43 years old back then.

  • perfectly right sister!

  • perfectly right sister! and he is more and more lovely!

  • some pple are never happy. If africans do something with their lifes like Rachid they are jalous and if immigrants dont work these pple are not happy either. They just are not happy..so just ignore them. Great work Rachid

  • ala jalkoum

  • It´s horrible (and very ironic) to find a racist comment (the one from FOUADRAI) on a thread about Rachid Taha. He´s northern african and it´s well known how much he fights racism and misconceptions. Thanks for your comment, Malicia6. I cannot speak French so it was nice that you wrote it.

  • I love his husky voice, I love the way he sings and the way he pronounces the "RRRRs", I´m crazy about his big nose and his thick black eyebrows...I don´t really care if people think he doesn´t sing arabic properly. He is freaking perfect!

  • is he singing in arabic? it isnt even algerian arabic...

  • Taha is original, to whom want to discuss that give a call 703 608 9811.

  • he can't sing arabic

  • rashid sen süpersin cok yasha türkiyeden selamlar

  • pleas somone translate this song to arabic

  • this is a good one ;)

  • rachid got his propre style nice voice for his music i love his music compare to faudel kahled

  • Excellent stuff, Excellent musician, ....Excellent

  • Excellent stuff.

  • well i dont even understand his lyrics but i really enjoy listening to him or khaled they r truly legend

i like rachid taha's BARA BARA man its really charge me to the full

  • yeah barra barra

  • I have to disagree with all of you who say he doesn´t have a good voice. Ok, he doesn´t have Khaled´s voice, but he is more like a rock´n´roll singer...not the typical "arab" one. I love his voice, it´s strong, husky, deep and sexy. What more could I ask for?

  • who can mixes the colors of songs as rashid taha???

no one .. he is agreat musician.

  • I made a mistake previously in mispelling Rachid. The (a) was a typing mistake. This performer is the man actually. I like the artist very much!

  • Loooooooove him!...I´ll eat him up if I have the chance to see him in person.

  • He was here!!!!! couple days ago!!! Awesome singer!!!

  • sorry to bust in like this, but i think he has a handicap at his voice... among the worst***** star singer's.

  • i agree his vocals are terrible but you gotta love his music. i bought all his cds and i cant get enough. its really very addictive.

  • It unusual and very good!

  • Rachida Taha rocks man! Morocco is a witness.

  • The music is fine, but what the fuck is he singin' about?

  • this guy speaks at least 2 languages, so he speaks more than u, so what r u talking about??? english isnt the only language in the world

  • Oh finally, I can watch it again. I love it, love it.

  • What´s going on? I can watch the video till second 56, then it stops...

  • Damn...he's hot!

  • Rachid Taha looks like a young version of Al Pacino. Sexy as hell...
