  • the address below for dr.ram must be a fake email address I sent a message and didn't get a response so don't even bother I don't know why someone would put their email on here if they don't intend to answer

Good luck Charlene I take Remicade infusions every 8 weeks and have for a year and a half.

  • Haha, I'm 13 and I just bring my laptop and play games the entire time. XD

  • i do the same every 4 weeks :/

  • hi every body, I'm Ahmed Ramadan, a pharmacist and I'm working as a medical representative on Remicade in KSA....if any one wants to get help or info I'm ready....plz, contact me on dr.ram_pharma@yahoo.com....I wish good health for all patients of psoriasis, CD and UC.

  • I've got moderate ulcerative colitis, but it never goes into remission. I'm going on remicade starting in a few weeks. Hope you are feeling well!

  • I have moderate to severe Crohn's disease. No medication other than Prednisone seems to work. I have tried Humira, Remicade and a myriad of other drugs. I am looking into specific diets for Crohns. What foods should I base my diet off of? I know that everyone is different, but some things work for the majority. What about Cats Claw and other herbs? Which herbs do I need to take, how much do I take and in what form? Help.

  • @mguruj look up the SCD! it's a great diet for people with crohn's and ulcerative colitis, some people completely swear by it and say they manage their disease with just the diet.

I myself have not tried it yet, but I plan to soon :)

  • i have chrons desease to except im on the 6mp. my bdoctor is thinking about giving me remicade.

  • i hated that stuff it made me even sicker then i was before the treatment

  • it just makes me angry when they ban a herb that has 100's of anti inflammatory, immune modulating compounds that are closely related to our own endogenous cannabinoid compounds arrggghhhh,to many people suffer in the hands of big pharma, hope u r well sweetie. Charlene's family,my best advice from personal experience is to go down the herbal route, unfourtanatly we cannot fully trust our doctors nowadays, its a whole lot of politics 'buisness' and hardly no science. check out coriolus versicolor.

  • that guy should be fired hes not wearing gloves thats so unsanitary

  • Hey Im 16 and I have Crohns Disease I have a very difficult choice to go on remicade or humera.... Im kind of afraid.... Ive had crohns for 4 years and im currently on mercaptopurine, but the medicines not working any more...Im afraid from what ive read that it causes hair loss. Hows your daughter doing

  • you keep your head up and it seems your doing a fantastic job already. dont you believe your every 8 week visits are just wonderful ? i'll say a prayer for you & light a candle for you as well. ive been taking remicade for about 3 yrs or so and im doing great. i HAD the infusion every 6 weeks, but on 1-1-2011 they moved Remicade to part B for payment. i was paying 25.00 every 6 weeks, but since it's now 760.00 i cant receive it. do me a favor? ill say i am crying, BUT BE STRONG

    4 me okay ? don.

  • She looks so young! She seems like a strong young lady.. I get remicade too, and i know it's not fun. But she'll feel great after.. Good luck to you all

  • Keep up the fight Charlene! I start remicade next week:)

  • how old is she

  • aw this pains me to see someone so young go through this but at the same time its showing me strength which is something i need right now. my doctor wants to start me on remicade for my first time ( i am 23) and it honestly scares me.

Thanks for sharing, and i hope all is well.

  • i used to get remicade but had a reaction now i get humira and it BURNS!!!

  • @cherryontop246 hey, what kind of reaction?? when i first started i had a reaction such as extreme dehydration and shortness of breath. Now i have slower infusion and i take prednisone before i go, did u try that?

  • I was diagnosed with Crohn's right in time for my 20th birthday this year. My specialist started me on Humira because it was the strongest and my crohn's is violent but it hasn't been working so we're switching to remicade. Luckily it looks a lot less painful then that stupid shot!

  • I was diagnosed with Crohn's just in time for my 20th birthday this year. They started me on Humira cause it's the strongest and I have a violent case of crohn's but it doesn't seem to be working. I'm switching over to remicade soon. It doesn't look near as painful as the stupid humira shot. haha.

  • Charlene you're awesome! such a trooper :) It's amazing what medicine and doctors can do to help us feel better. I was just diagnosed with crohns about 6 months ago, but have had it for years. I'm also on remicade. Thanks for being strong, you're a great example! Always keep smiling! :D

  • i have crohn's and i'm on nothing for like 2 weeks it's gonna be pretty tough we have to go off all meds so i can be in a study for simsia YEAH!!! LET"S HEAR IT FOR PAIN!!!! not... the worst part is waking up thinking oh yeah i have a disease. then realizing that oh yeah there's no cure...

  • @Imacrohnie same thing with me i have crohn's to and getting my remicade infusion friday

  • i have crohns im 15 and was just diagnosed in august the doctors are trying to get me in remission i was undiagnosed for 4yrs they think. maybe more. i was on prednisone but it gave me seizures ive been on remicade sence i was diagnosed its been upped everytime i go which is every 5-6 weeks it helps but not alot..will it ever go away? dealing with crohns in the middle of h,s ive become very distant from my friends. instead of going out i stay in sence im alway sick and miss a BUNCH of school.

  • I feel your pain bro, i lost allot of friends too, because of my crohnz. I think its way harder for kids to have crohns because of all the candy & sweets. I couldnt handle the steroid medz, because it gave me allot of other problems so im on the natural path now. I feel good, but im on a strickt diet and i hate watching people eat foods i once enjoyed! What are the side effects for remicade?

  • @cure0crohns0disease : I know how that feels. I have been sick for 2 and a half years now. I'm 17 and what was supposed to be my senior year of High school. I went to a special school for engineering and when I got sick I missed so much school that they kicked me out. I lost all of my friends but one and they still don't know if it really is Crohn's or not. I go in for my first treatment in 2 weeks after being on steriods for a month with seizures and heart palpitations.

  • Wtf I didn't get nothing b4 my infussions :(

  • Luckys It stopped working on me After about 2 infussions stopped taking it after about a yr tho 10 bottles each time lol

  • Holy crap. Ive had crohns since I was 2 (yes 2) but Im now 30 so seeing a kid having remicade is heart breaking. Stay in there little one, One day you wont have to take anything.

  • Hey, I just got my fourth infusion... Stay stong and well, and keep on smiling!

Hang in there little one! :)

  • yay reicade oh boy have to go in 5 hrs its 1 am here wher i live

  • wow and i've been so chicken to try it at the age of 20. good job girl i hope it worked for you

  • 2007 til 2008 I've got remicade, and suddenly it happened. There were no really adverse effects, just fever. After some days my mum drived me to the hospital. There I passed out. Nobody was shure if I will survive. Just god helped me through the next month, it was terrible. Thx god now I am ok, but I'll never forget how helpless and faint I was in this long time. Oh girl, you are soo young. I hope so much that everything will be alright!! Remicade is a panacea, but health is more importent

  • God I feel bad for people who have to resort to Remicade. I really really hope this helps you and you don't get ANY side effects from it. I am treating my Colitis (somewhat similar to crohns) naturally and it has helped immensely. I hope you get 10 times better young one. Please try to stay away from meds as much as possible. Of course talk to you your doc before you make any rash decisions! Good luck!

  • remicade has been awsome for me im13 ive only done it 2 times though......are you on praedizone

  • So young for remicade...

  • i had a bad allergic reaction to remicade. hives real bad

  • oh yes.. the good old benadrill before infusions. I normally just sleep through my infusions. But they give me enough to knock out a horse.. haha.. I have AS so it's hard to stay still for so long. Hang in there. Remicade is a great drug.

  • Wow reminds me of when I was a kid. I found out I had Crohns when I was 10. I'm now 30. I was actually one of the first 100 people in the USA to get remicade, when it was first approved by the FDA. I've went through some hard times let me tell ya. HANG IN THERE !

  • Hi:D
