As other comments have said it looked better on the C64, however the controls were BAD. Hte best thing about this game is the box art with women on the cover :) The mum was not happy about that when I had the game on the C64
Barbarian, had this for the c64. The demo mode has nice animations. I think this plays a helluva lot faster than the c64 version if I remember correctly. :)
1. I didn't see the video right to the end and see the packaging,
2. I remember cracks from back in the Amiga days, and I thought they existed before then,
3. The name Dylan on the screen just looks like typical hacking by a cracker - for an official conversion, it just doesn't seem very professional to me. If that's the author's name, where's his surname, at least? ;)
This was great on the Atari ST. I used to be a master of this game. Graphically that version wasn't especially great, but the sound was awesome. Especially the swoosh the sword made when you decapitated your opponent.

About the only interesting thing about this game is the gladiators' ability to roll into balls like Samus from Metroid.

"Barbarian by Dylan"?? What is this, a cracked copy? Naughty!

Cracked? Not at all.
It's an official conversion by Superior Software / Acornsoft, as you can see when I show the game case at the end.
Different people coded different versions for different systems.
Back in the 8 bit tape days, cracking wasn't really a factor, as most kids just copied games using tape to tape functions on their stereos.

They may as well be rolling around in the mud, considering how often they do it in the demo, especially both at once :D

It looks better than a lot of the other games you've played, but like most of the other Electron games, it seems pretty suck.

This game looks super boring to play. Barbarian 2 looks like it's more fun.
