I think the video was horrible. Just my opinion. Absinthe is an alcoholic drink period. It contains alcohol. Some of us knew about this drink before it was popularized by Marilyn Manson. I cannot comment on his personal life. I do however as an old fan, know that within recent interviews and performances he seems like he's under the influence of something. If you notice the swollen face and hands he sports now (this is a common symptom of alcoholism) I'd say he has an alcohol problem.

Looking idiotic is a point in it as is the slurred through singing. Manson is a drunk nowaday's you may not know that otherwise you would get the humor in it. (You have to be a Manson fan-not just a Manson circa 1997 fan. to understand it.)
