  • For those folks who are not near a UU church community, you can participate on line in the Church of the Larger Fellowship. As a UU, I always love hearing this song... go see Jim Scott in person whenever you have a chance.

  • I'm a pagan, and i would love to attend my first UU to see what its like but the nearest, according to the website, is at a Quaker place :S in St Albans! someone get one together in Luton, Bedfordshire! I cant afford a train to St Albans! :(

  • @GothycKytty

i've actually read a few times that UU's have a history of happily housing Pagan communities in their churches. in fact, my own church has been trying to encourage the Wiccans and Muslims of our community to start their own congregations here. since there's no place for them anywhere else. we already have our town's first Buddhist congregation meeting on Mondays now!

but also about the Quaker thing... i've heard how some UU churches can strongly reflect upon the community they live in. i have a friend who attended a UU church in Las Vegas for instance but told me that they were shockingly Southern Baptist!! but when you think about it, it kinda makes sense. if you have a bunch of people wanting to start a "UU" community but most of them are Quakers for instance, it may evolve into a very Quaker "UU church". which is unfortunate.

oh! and about starting a UU church in your community. maybe there's interest in your area for such a thing? my church started as a group of 5ish that met at the public arts center. that was a little over 5 years ago... now we have a gorgeous church in the middle of town with a congregation of 50!

  • One of my all time favorite hymns! ♥

  • The song is by Jim Scott who is still playing concerts at UU churches.

  • This song makes me so happy to be a UU. It always gives me goose bumps.

  • @aduplissey

it gives me a feeling of boundlessness. i feel like it's a song the whole world could sing despite religious differences~

  • I am currently prevented from attending UU services because of transportation. I really appreciate this video. It makes me feel like I am participating. God bless you.

  • @saintben2008

  • I wish I become UU because I am in my heart.

  • Thank you for sharing this Hymn with the World.

  • If everyone could just be Unitarian, what a perfect world this would be.

  • @TamTheHamster

thanks! =D i was hoping someone would think so!! after i posted it, i realized how you could almost imagine members from all those faiths and theologies singing together. not necessarily in a UU church but simply united in their searches and journeys. ^u^

  • I love this hymn! That and Spirit Of Life :) ((and so many others)) Thanks for sharing.

  • @Oodlesxofxnoodles

it was the first hymn i ever heard when i visit my first UU church four years ago. i still remember how taken i was that such a church ever existed. when i stopped looking years and years before that even. hee hee
