I've always loved this song ever since I first heard it so many years ago! A retired Catholic priest.

I remember hearing this so long ago. I loved the lyrics and melody right away. "What a big surprise...right before my very eyes..." Something so universal about these words! "The value and dignity beyond compare of each human being..." John Paul ll in 1978. This amazement at the beauty of each human being is the "Good news" according to the same John Paul. Nothing can compare the 70's and 80's music. Artists were so talented and the words they choose to sing really is soothing to the ears.
