ya know.its just hard to know this it is it.no more. its great to remember your dad, my dad but this goodbye is so fucking hard.always no matter who you are. but thx for the songs. it does help
Where did WZ come into contact with Blue Asbestos??? My dad died of mesothelioma from the blue asbestos used as insulation on Royal Australian Navy ships when he served at the end of WW2.
This is the first time I've heard this song and yes, it was obvious from the title that even though Warren didn't know what he was writing about at the time (in his own words) he was talking about the Endless Sea. My father died of Mesothelioma around the same time. Australian Navy during the War (WW2)
We have always enjoyed Warren as he wrote fromthe heart, Now my 47 yr old husband has Malignate Melanoma that has now spread to his Lung, His ride will be here very soon. But thru Warren he taught us to enjoy every sandwich. Thanks for your help thru your music,
Thank you so much for this. I am a 66 years old guy and music has saved my life many times. I have loved Bruce and Warren since - well, a long time now. I found your work to be very respectful. I have the CD - it is seldom out of my car.
You know, I went order a copy of the albums Life'll Kill Ya and My Ride's Here. My Ride's Here is VERY VERY hard to find. LKY is okay but I went to Borders and they sent me to a buy/sale/trade album store and they had to special order MRH and they don't even know if I'll be getting it...

this is a great version,I wished I could have seen it.
Bruce is the Boss, but doing one of Warrens songs,is just the best,I can't think of anyone more suited to do the stuff Warren wrote.

No offense Boss I love you but Warren's version was so much better. If I'd heard your version first

What an awful version. Springsteen is terrible. What an overhyped piece of sh#!. He couldn't hold Warren's jock.

Interesting how Warren didn't think that..
36clashfan77 2 years ago
@Ninoboys28 It's exemplary. A great Bruce vocal, clearly enunciated and the accordion is lovely. Some people are never satisfied.

Great job Bruce.
This tribute and your tribute to Johnny Cash, also in 2003, were both very emotionnal.

He wrote this album during an awful ordeal with Lung Cancer. He knew his ride was coming. It was true Warren till the end.
