This isn't an AK-74, this is a variant of the AK-47. This gun was shooting 7.62x39. The AK-74 shoots 5.45x39.

Not true at all in fact this is called ak-74su or aks-74u because the s stands for the Russian word for folding (because of the stock that folds) and the u= ukorochenniy which means shortened (it is a short version of the ak-74) in Russian. it fires 5.45 x 39 just like the ak-74. It is intended for special forces and airborne infantry. all the internals are the same except the barrel, front and rear sights, the stock, and etcetera. feel free to correct me if if im wrong, good day sir

No, this is an AK-47 variant. Look at the magazine. That alone tells you that it's housing 7.62. The AK-74 uses a mag that has a much smaller degree of curve to it. This just has a 74 folding stock. It's even missing the AK-74 muzzle break.

The caliber of the bullet wont allow you to shape the mag in a different way without additional headaches. That is why the AK 47and its derivatives have the so called banana clip, like we see in this video.

We can also see the amount of kick the machine gun has, AK74su does not have such a recoil.

It is clear that this is a AK74su look a like, but in 7.62, thus making it a shortened AK47.

No, you can own a long gun if you're under 18. You just can't fill out the 4473 yourself, and buy it from a dealer. You could buy it from someone privately, have it given to you by your parents, etc, as long as it's a rifle or shotgun. What you are saying is true for pistols, not long guns.

umm the 4473 is the STATEMENT OF OWNERSHIP when the firearm is transferred.

and yes while you legally "CAN" do a collector to collector , the true ownership ( until registered) is under the assumed guardian or parent (the ADULT.)

As for straw sales , if you are not able to LEGALLY purchase a a firearm having someone buy it for you and gift it to you/sell it to you DOES constitute as an illegal straw sale which is a felony punishable by a $10,000 fine and/or 10 years minimum imprisonment
