As a young teenage girl (in toothpick figure Hollywood), she was probably very self conscious about her full figure, and here was almost an entire episode devoted to drawing even more attention to it. At least small, flat-chest girls can hope that no one notices. With big girls, there's no escaping it.
@paradiseshow1988 I vaguely recall hearing that she hated this episode and was embarresed by it. However, I may be confusing this with another coming-of-age show in a diff series- can't recall.

The thing I love about Sully is that he's always willing to listen to people and help them the best he can. He doesn't even know Dorothy that well but as soon as she said she has cancer he was immediately concerned about her and truly cared.

@greenisnotmean trust me you're lucky, I'm a size 32E, so my back aches all the time because I'm top heavy, if I want a dress to fit I have to make it myself because they don't make dresses to fit me and you have creepy men staring at you all the time. I'd get a reduction but I'm terrified of the surgery having seen how they do it.

What's funny in this serie is that they speak about subjects that people didn't really speak aboutat that time, or they have behaviors that people didn't have. They kind of trascribed what we do in a time when people acted differently...

I agree some men do see a woman's chest before they see their faces however this maybe a good thing as you then know what kind of a guy he is.
I used to have this trouble guys looking at my chest as I was always big ever since year 6.
However most guys are sweet and look right in your eyes and these are the ones worth your time.
So guys unless you want to be alone look a girl in the eyes.
