Pac-Man is a GREAT champion, in every sense of the word. As far as I am concerned he is in the top 10 best boxers of all time, up there with Alli, Ray Robinson, Joe Lewis, Julio Cesar Chavez, just to name a few. I know what it is like to come from a small country, that does not often have much to feel proud of, so it quite ok to be very proud and even cocky to have such a great champion put the name of Phillipines up on high. As a Filipino I am a diehard pacman fan. But who can honestly say they don't respect the heart of a true Mexican boxer. The only reason there are any ill comments toward each other on the internet is because both Filipinos and Mexicans are proud people. Mexican boxers are some of the most devoted and dangerous boxers. Historically, our two countries(Mexico-Neuva Espania & Pilipinas -Las Islas Filipinas) were both governed by Spain. My great grandmother is of Spanish descent that migrated to Mexico and finally decided to settle down in Philippines around 1890's. @keanoster I agree. We have high respect with Mexican boxers because they are our inspiration in boxing. It only happened that most titles were being kept by Mexicans. Therefore, Pacquiao has no other options but to fight them. Definitely, just for the game and nothing personal. Philippines and Mexico are brothers. we have great relationship and connections as far as our country's history is concerned. This is only a game we called boxing, and boxing is the name of the SPORT. :-)

The % of Mexican boxers and all time greats/legends isn't quite right. I mean don't get me wrong there are many great mexican fighters but not as many stars as the amount of mexicans in boxing. For e.g. The philippines has had very few boxers and you're already seeing stars.
