  • k i have a macbook air '13 inch it has no disk drive but i want to find a sims 2 or 3 that i can download tho play. i can't find one anywhere?! help!!!

  • I got a question... For the sims 3... is there a pc and mac version? Are they like seperate? Or is the mac and pc version in one?

  • I have a mbp15 later 2011.

Any1 else with the same model? How hot does your mb get and whats your graphic settings?

  • HELP!! my macbook 13, heats up, when im playing, and the game just keeps freezing, i put the quality to the lowest and i still freezes -.-

  • The graphics on this game, look a lot better then my Desck top computer. The sms look better too.

  • What the fuck? I have MBP 2011 and yur grafik is much better!

  • thats a pretty good performance *-*

  • I have macbook pro 13" with the intel HD 3000 8gb ram. will it still work with sims 3?

  • @mshebda It probably would play it, although I don't own a MBP 2011 model. The newer Intel HD 3000 graphics are less powerful than the GT 320m but are still more powerful than previous Intel graphics.

  • @mshebda is it good?

  • I have a 13'' macbook pro and i cant play this game..it keeps freezing -.-

  • @zyppoo3 i have the same problem

  • I don't know how to install it on my Macbook - the white one... Can anyone help me??

  • @TheDanishCatLover what do you mean yo don't know how to install it? i can try to help you if you explain what problems your having

  • @CrzyXAzn When my friend and me try to install it on her macbook pro it didn't work... We installed it but it didn't show up on the screen and the computer just continued asking us if we wanted to install it. Which we thought that we just did..

  • @TheDanishCatLover i just wanna make sure; we're talking about the sims 3 right? coz if we're not (so either sims 1 or 2) you need the mac edition and not the pc edition. just wanna double check so there's no confusion!

is it possible for you to give me the specs of the macbook? like what year it is, ram size, etc?

  • @CrzyXAzn I know it is Sims 3 because I've had an ASUS computer and I've installed it there but I can't do it on my mac. I actually don't know the ram size but it's from 2011 and it's the new macbook white.

  • @TheDanishCatLover wait your swtiching back and forth. are you trying to install it on a macbook pro or macbook? are you saying you tried to install it on your macbook, and your friend's macbook pro?

  • @CrzyXAzn Both my friend and I are trying to install it. My macbook is the new version of Macbook White and my friend has the new Macbook Pro.

  • @TheDanishCatLover the game should work fine on both machines. it's a coincidence that it works on neither...

    has the disc been scratched?

  • @CrzyXAzn No, but my friend has finally installed it now! But thank you very much for the help! :)

  • @TheDanishCatLover lol no problem, though i didn't really help much! glad you guys were able to get it installed

  • I can't get this to work on my 2011 13-in MacBook Pro! After I've created a sim and bought a new house, the game stops!

  • @chrispypats when you say, the game stops, do you mean it crashes? and if so, is there any pop ups that come up afterward, or nothing?

you could try changing the settings... or try updating your game and downloading/installing the patches. sometimes it could be that particular part of the game. for instance, if your using the same lot/house, maybe even neighbour hood.

hope that helps! if not, let me kno and i'll try to think of other solutions...

  • @CrzyXAzn I think the reason was that I only downloaded a copy from thepiratebay :|

  • @chrispypats O_O lol well then. that's the problem :P i know ppl who've used downloaded copies and they work perfectly fine, but some just don't work at all. i haven't used downloaded copies before so i'm not really familiar with them... is there a registration code?

  • @chrispypats Try to reinstall the game :)

  • Does your macbook overheat? Because my macbook white (late 2009) used to go crazy with fans, and the 2gb ram couldnt handle it too good, then itd lag because it got too hot

  • @mindtwindompeople My MBP gets hot, but not to the degree where it makes the games unplayable.

  • @MacbookProGaming Hmm. Now to decide whether to get it or an iMac because of the Intel graphics :/

  • @mindtwindompeople I'm guessing you are talking about the Macbook Pro since you mentioned the Intel Graphics. If so, don't let the Intel Graphics put you off buying one as the new Macbook Pro's are based on the new "Sandy Bridge" processors which have much more powerful integrated graphics that you are used to seeing from Intel. A user called ShadeHunter42 posted a video of Crysis 2 running on the MBP '11.

  • @MacbookProGaming I think I'm going to go with iMacs, and when I visit people at weekends, I'll take my Windows *shudders* laptop with me... the graphics REALLY put me off, and every laptop ive ever had has got hot after a while, especially in the summer. :D

  • @mindtwindompeople i bought a laptop cooler for like 7 dollars, it does work great :D

  • Does the 2011 13' MacBook Pro support TS3? Is it as fast as yours? I really wanna buy the i5 one, but I'm not sure about the Intel HD Graphics 3000...

  • @guuuhx it should run fine but don't expect it to run oustandingly well on high settings, but medium settings should be good.

  • Im so happy I got my macbook pro :)

  • does the macbook pro have enough memory to install all sims games?

  • @BoMbHeAd1996 I can not give an answer for that question as EA Games are always bringing out Sims 3 Expansion Packs. My MacBook Pro has a 250gb Hard Disk, whereas all the new MacBook Pro's come with a 320gb Hard Disk as standard. So there should be plenty of room for games on there.

  • why is it mine's insanely SLOWW???? i'm so pissed! mine's a 13 inch core i5 MBP

  • I no for this game you cant use a plug in controller but example for mafia 2 (saw ur vid). can u use plug ps3 controller?

  • @Mrhugh2011 No you cannot. But there maybe some third party drivers which may do the trick.

  • I kept pressing 1, 2, and 3 hoping that the time would go faster while you were in the cab.

  • I'm saving up for a laptop and I think I since I am a sims fan, that i'll get the new 2011 MacBook Pro 13-inch. All MacBook Pro reviews and this combined gives me faith to buy an apple product. Woohoo.

  • So do you think the NEW one with 4GB ram and a core i5 will work on these settings? it has the intel HD 3000 which is supposed to be better for gaming...

  • wow, this video is restoring my faith. i just bought a macbook pro 13", really really wanted to play the sims 3. was convinced by the geniuses that i wouldn't need to purchase a 15" to play the sims 3. went home, tried it and it just crashed, as in, after i created a family (in which there were several graphic glitz which didn't really bother me), and pressed the tick button, it'd go on to an eternal loading. Please help me if you have any suggestions at all! coz i may have to return my mac :(

  • do all Sims 3 games work for Macbook Pro?

  • Just a question to anyone out there with a Macbook Pro 13". After installing my game, I went into Sunset Valley but all the trees and people had been deleted. When I tried to move a family in from the family bin the game froze. Anyone know how to fix this? Will updating my game fix this problem?

  • would i be fine playing this on my new open spaced macbook (not pro), like memory wise and computer compatability? please answer, thank you

  • @westsidewhiskers Can you explain what you mean by 'Open spaced'?

  • @MacbookProGaming like got it brand new today and have saved nothing on it, leterally nothing

  • @MacbookProGaming brand new today, if i were to download this to my normal macbook not pro, would it slow it down tremendously

  • @westsidewhiskers Oh ok, no it wont slow down.

  • @MacbookProGaming lke in the future it will have stuff but in general you think it would be fine?

  • use screenflow n00b!

  • @Locerorr Ha, No.

  • @Locerorr I think you're right... Much easier for uploading and VERY better quality. ;)

  • So if this game works on a 13, will it work on the new Macbook Pro 15.4? I just got one yesterday and have yet to buy the game.

Forgive me for bothering anyone, I know there has been people getting annoyed with spec related questions on posts.

  • @LucineAura yes it will :)

  • @hi4adam thanks! :) do you think i should get the sims 3 or the deluxe version? Do you have it? How is it different than the sims 2?

  • Sweet video, looking for fun games to play on my new Mac (same as yours) and I will use your videos in the future to get more games.

  • wow this is wayyyyyy faster than my windows home vista 7. lol

  • @paulquibuyen1 Huh? What is Windows Home Vista 7?

  • What settings are you playing? Medium ?

  • HEY, can you be more specific on the details of your mac like the memory and video card and also i can't read very well the video settings i really need help ):

  • @Zarehlsk8 It is the cheapest MacBook Pro 13. Apples website will give you a lot more details about the computer

  • Do you know if there are any differences in the gameplay for the PC and Mac

  • @CurlyKoki I don't believe there are any gameplay differences between the two operating systems. There maybe a difference in graphics though. :S

  • Wow the screen is really glarey

  • @CurlyKoki Not really, just the awkward angle I had the screen on :P

  • This is another game I'm looking forward to playing on my MBP13 when I buy it (3 weeks time, can't wait :O).

    Excellent video, as always! Thanks!

  • @Pcd1love2uCutegirl Ea sucks for developing games on Mac os, Spore is just the same. And It's always a nightmare when you want to patch a game.

  • @MacbookProGaming Apple has that program parallels to play PC applications/programs on Mac computers so would Sims 3 work fine using parallels in terms of graphics.

Cause I have heard many times that the graphics in the Sims 3 don't look as good as they do on PCs. I was planning on getting the Mac 13" 2.66ghz. Bu I'm not sure if I should just buy the sims for xbox 360.

  • @CurlyKoki As far as I've noticed the graphics are identical on both Operating Systems. I do have VMWare Fusion instead of parallels but I don't really play games through it. Get the MacBook Pro, it does a lot more than just play games you know. Haha ^^,

  • @Pcd1love2uCutegirl Actually that was a mistake in the video description, I was actually running it on OS X. I have never tried it in bootcamp but I'll take your word for how slow it is because it's the same for steam on mac as well. XD

  • Does the keyboard lights always reflect on the screen or is it just for filming the video

  • @999kav No, I didn't notice this when I was playing, it's because I have the screen on a tilt for a better angle on the camera. That is all ;-)
