I love this song beautiful voices and very good timing...I wish they still keep on singing until this days, this never get old. Thanks for posting, God bless!
Why on earth we can't go back to music like this when in clothes fashion there's always going back to earlier times , music fashion should be the same ,specially when they ran out of creativity and ideas and only junk is being recorded.
Bring back this music, motown , doo wop, good ol' rock and roll !
pity that boys these days wouldn't listen to those types of words and fall in love, music of this day and age fools them into not wanting anything close to love
Somebody know this song on punk/rock version??? I heard this song some years ago but I don't remember the band. I did try with Scandals, Go Go's.. Patty Smith.. somebody knows what I'm tallking about??? TNKS!
Classy singers and beautiful music which is not into todays music.. I love the way her voice sounds with the music and the harmony is great!!!! i'm proud and glad my mom raised me on this music and I have done the same with my 3 girls. They sing along in the car and in their rooms!!!
i love this song. it envokes an inner passion and a loving feeling that i feel was prevalent in the 60s...i wish it was still in the pop music of these days, but that's why i don't listen to the top 40 anymore. ignorance is spreading like wildfire through the airwaves. thanks for posting!
Hearing this in the original stereo is like experiencing it for the first time, even though I have loved this song thousands of times before over the years.
This was the first gift I ever bought for my first real girlfriend. I didn't know the title and had to sing a few lyrics. I plopped down my 98 cents for the single, gave it to my girl and we stayed together (on and off ) until 1969, or just before I got out of the Marines. Oh, what beautiful memories this GREAT song brings back.
@modelchild While you're at it, please tell your nana that the sparkle she sprinkled on this song still gives me one of the greatest rides I've experienced. The memories & the joy of that era combined with all the incredible events of the 60's is triggered by her voice & spirit every time I hear this gem. Please tell her "thank you" from a fan that remembers & who still enjoys the ride today !
@modelchild i had the the great pleasure of working with The Exciters in the 70s i was guitarist in their backing band for tour of U.K. Herbie and Brenda were superb vocalists and lovely people and we had great times on tour with them.
@modelchild Thanks modelchild Brenda was great singer and lovely person give her my love and cant ever forget her and Herbie they really loved to entertain and are remembered still by the Northern Soul fans who loved their music..
@modelchild That is so cool! Tell your Nana, that this was one of the favs for me and my girlfriends, pantomiming this song! Now today, it is still so wonderful to hear. And I'm 65 now and a Nana too to 4 super grandkids :) Bless you, Nana!
The first (and for the time being; ONLY) decent audio of this tune on YouTube. And who would be the one to share with us, if not Nocaro? The thoughtful images represent "frosting on the cake".
Tell your nana that millions of us love this song, especially the way she sang it !! No one does it better. Thank you so much Brenda.
