  • Good luck!

  • remember the commonwealth, from Malaya

  • GU EN QUEEN! SHOW EM HOW TO BE A MONARCH! GU ENNNN!!

  • Is it just me or is the Princess Royal not the best in the family?

  • You've got to hand it to us Brits, we do this thig BLOODY well!

  • First things first!

this really is a GREAT PARADE!! one of the best there is!

2nd: How is the march called at 1:48 ?? i'd really like to know because we played it once with my musicband but i cant recall it :)

    Greetings :)

  • @noobje91 the march at 1.50 is bravura by charles duble.

  • I wonder how they trained the horses to not be startled by the instruments play so close to them.

  • @lamarjlp914 The Band used to go into the riding school at knightsbridge barracks and make as much noise as possible while the instructors rode the young horses around to get them used to it. The Bands, Life Guards and Blues and Royals, had certain horses allocated to them based on their temperament. Docile and deaf I used to think :) Actually, playing on horseback isn't that difficult, you just have to remember to keep your instrument away from the horse's head, to avoid broken teeth.

  • its the best in the world god bless x

  • Well, I wonder how they manage to play these instruments and ride horses at the same time :)

  • @worras2007 the Big Shire Horse are guided by the riders foot, and the Horses know the drills better than the riders,

  • @worras2007 but it should be damned difficult then :)

  • i miss the blues and royals

  • Sensational....going to see it for real this Year...Great video

  • Class. No other country can match us for this kind of thing.

  • @hwoods01 uuuh russia won the second world war and world war one was already in the bag when u arrived.....american arrogance.

  • @hwoods01 - @hwoods01- The perfect example of why the rest of the world thinks Americans are "assholes". And btw, I very much doubt you've ever heard a shot fired in anger (unless you live in L.A. or the Bronx) so please spare us the "WE saved your asses in the 2 wars" bullshit. Whats with the "WE"?: What would you know about the First or Second World War? My family lost 9 men in those 2 wars YOU so graciously won single-handedly for us so keep your ignorant trap shut you dickhead.

  • @ApproachWithCaution exactly this is why we had the biggest emipire in modern history, this coupled with the royal navy and the brown bess musket !!

  • Wow. This is the first time i saw horse band. that must be really tough job

  • @wangzhe0129 - Especially difficult for the mounted drummers as they control the horse via their sturups.

  • @wangzhe0129 actually it sounds like a tough job :-)

  • How do the mounted musicians play an instrument at theh same time they handle the reins?

  • they control the horses by the reins that are attached to the mounted musicians feet.

If you look very close you can see the reins on the feet of the musicians !!

  • @grooverheliboy It is only the Drum Horses that are controlled by the reins attached to the stirrups. The other musicians control the reins by the hands resting on the saddle.

  • this brings back some really great memories of my time with the household cavalry. nice video, it does the regiment and the parade justice.
