  • More for show, and fighting, yet it's not everyday you are in a fight for your life. I bought the $40 ones. It would be insanely dangerous in a fight though, seriously, you could fuck somebody up within a few seconds.

  • 9.5/10? Dude those are a 10, and your only reason is the "type of handles in the movie are a type of rubber." Your completely full of shit and to complain about the handles being made of a different, more durable material means your really anal about shit you dont know about. And how do you know they were rubber? You didnt hold the real ulaks.

  • @wrathlos Oh you are just precious! Please keep the comments coming.

  • He sounds likes hes gonna cry the whole time.

  • The ones in the movie were longer.

  • team fortress 2 Music!

  • Only the crappy knifes are made in china

  • Nice pair of knives.

  • or 1:16

  • 1:17 tf2 haha

  • WOAH haha he thing he is Ridick =D

  • TF2 music!

  • @IamCommanderShepard Forget what I just said.... I just went on amazon n found a company named Fantasy Master that has 6 sets of stainles steel, 12" Ulaks for sale.... 26 bucks plus shipping.... good luck!

  • @IamCommanderShepard I got my full size (Approx. 12" long) Ulaks from a company on Amazon called Colorful Items... Dont know if they havve em anymore or not tho, as I ordered mine in November 2010... also, if the dimensions aren't given on the product page, you could always try contacting the seller via email & asking before you buy.... hope this helps...

  • i bought the stainless steel on amazon for 25 bucks, but for some reason they are small! i can only fit about 3 finders on the handle of the ulaks. where can i find FULL SIZE ulaks, someone help me!

  • The holes function as breaking points if you should happen to use those knif-le dusters "for real". (material fatigue)

My two "Undercover Karambit"(s) from United Cutlery suffer the same condition...

To be fair though they are awesomely well balanced...

  • Why do you sound really out of breath while narrating?

  • Is it bad that the first thing i noticed in the video was TF2 music? o.o

  • Fucking hell...their not allowed in germany...fucking german bullshit country...

  • @hodenkrampf3

  • I really want to get these and I can buy them online and ship them over to England. My concern is England is a nanny country and they ban just about everything dangerous, so does anyone happen to know if these would make it to me if I ordered them? because I don't want to spend money for the idiotic laws to stop me getting them through

  • @y05077 blades uk com mine came straight through the post

  • @y05077 I ain't a brit (I'm from switzerland to be precise) but I have looked through your shittish laws...

I think I read that you are not permitted to CARRY a knife if it's first (or intended) purpose is to cause injuries, no matter of your actual use of said Item. POSESSION is not outright forbidden but you have to ensure it's safely locked up - or stored under tons of stuff in your rucksack when you take it outside... (not in your boot, on your belt or otherwise quickly accessible.)

  • @y05077 I'd rather go for a one-finger-loop karambit or a small folder without mechanism... (I just looked it up and I think you are allowed to carry a knife with thumb-stud, wich is A LOT more practical than those knif-le dusters in the vid. )

BTW: The ukla's might even -as implied above - get interpreted as "bladed knuckle-dusters" what would make them highly illegal...

  • Comment removed

  • @RestlessWicked The comment came through however I found a store in England I can buy them from so its all good

  • Dude you realize all knifes don't come from China, shitty knifes come from China.

  • is this guy crazy did hear that breathing

  • Is that a real knifes or just a pair of not sharp steel pieces?

  • My bowie knife says "MADE IN AUSTRALIA".

  • i know you all think these knives are cool and all, which they are dont get my wrong but have any of you even tried using them ina fight even just playing around with friends. they are very hard to use if you dont know hwta you are doing.

  • Excuse me for probably being very dumb cuz i get bored reading the comments, but are those knives sharp? Not to every day task purpose but just for the effect to be a lil' sharp you know. Appreciate any answer. Cheers.

  • i have all of your knifes and i love them

  • hey man i cann onlyy find these for like 60 bucks with shipping to canada i dont think amazon would ship them there:(

  • not really criticizing anyone, but why do people start a video saying "oh hello fellow youtubers" or "hello, my name is..." why cant people speak like they normaly do, i do the same thing, i guess most people feels that it seems more proper to do that, just a thought.

  • Knives are much like Karambits. Very cool.

  • 6 inch blade illegel duh to carry

  • I love these blades, the only problem with them is that we dont have a video of how to use them :( i hope someone with a background in some fight tech can make one soon. thanx for the review tho, im ordering some now because of it.

  • i just bought those but i thinki got ripped off cuz it doesnt even feel like steel can anyone help???

  • I also have a set of these ulaks (silver finish though). Just a quick pointer... the stand is assembled wrong. the piece with the magnet should be facing the other way, which is why you're ulak was knocked off so easily in the video. the little pegs near the magnet are meant to be put through the holes on the top of each weapons to secure it on the base a little better. all in all youre right though- the stand is pretty much junk... just a quick pointer though....

  • @three024life Yeah, you're right. That stand is now long gone now. :P

  • @daedricchamp where did you bought it ?

  • @daedricchamp wich site u get them from? i read on amazon that there are small and large ones..

i dont wanna buy the small one

  • @three024life what is that gay ass music your playing lol they are good movie replica

  • @jam11978 I only commented on this video... I didn't make it, nor did I pick the "gay ass music"... Pay a little bit of attention before you start runnin off at the mouth makin yourself look like an ass, genius!!!

  • can u test them out???? or r they just for display??

  • can u test them out????

  • I want to make a slightly smaller version

  • "Made in china, as every knife is..."

Well thats bullshit right there, i have a knife right here that would cut your head off in .02 seconds and it was made right here in the USA... in my backyard.

Thats crap steel btw. Probably just a normal stainless steel like your kitchen butter knife or wal-mart grade steak knife. You could sharpen it to have an edge but you will lose it very quickly. $20 price says these are ONLY for show. Real knives that last and are made for function are expensive.

  • @obeyance I agree, I explained that these knives are less practical for fantasy. I.E. These knifes aren't made to be used for day-to-day tasks.

  • @daedricchamp

    like killing people

  • @obeyance Ill make you a ulak like that only made of super good steel for ... mm... $200? But i would be putting hammer to anvil, unlike how these are made. Which is...

4'x8' x 1/8th plate of stainless or maybe even just hotroll 80 put into a CNC laser where the CNC machine will cut out probably out around 30 pair a sheet and then they will do some hand grinding send it to the powder coat room and paint it. Then for the final touch send it over to have it hand wrapped with pleather, pakageNship

  • @obeyance I'd pay you 200 dollars for a battle ready pair of those. Do you actually do custom blades?

  • @rogerfraserr I dont have a working forge as of right now, but plan on getting set back up when i can in the near future. Add me as a friend if your serious and ill get a hold of you when i am able to put hammer to steel again. Im not a master blacksmith but these seems they would be fairly easy and fun to make.

  • @obeyance I'd rather secure a Kali teacher before I actually get a pair, but if I can get some sort of training to go with them then I'd love a pair

  • @obeyance Thats why they are for show man damn, take your REAL knife and go somewhere else fuck

  • @Gears2halo Whats the point in having a prestigious item if its crap? Thats like having a fake Cuban cigar or something... A lump of dog shit labeled gold is still a lump of dog shit... Am I Right? And i for sure will take my REAL cutlery and go elsewhere. I like how you would rather support China's economy and not ours btw, fits your comment real well.

  • @obeyance im pretty damn sure that those would kill the fuck out of someone, crap steel or not...

  • Lots of things would... Lets save the US Military a lot of money and change the standard issue hand to hand combat weapon to a plastic spork!

  • @obeyance o really now...?

  • @obeyance WE SHOULD ALL START BUYING MORE AMERICAN PRODUCTS RIGHT??

well now were just left with

    CheeseBurgers and Porn:(

  • can you buy those ULAKS for weapons?? I mean can you buy one of these that you can use really?? On hunting, (for animals of course) or sliding meat, and flesh xD etc. those actions. of course I'm not going to kill any humans with it xD :D. But I want these what I said

  • @kecskef6 I honestly do not know. You can maybe find a high quality pair. I haven't seen any to my knowledge.

  • can you show us all your knives ?

  • What do you mean "Not practical"?

Those are knifes for stabbing flesh and blocking other blades. You can also slash with them.

Riddick did a good job with them.

  • @gespilk When I say "Practical" I mean for use in everyday life (opening boxes, cutting string). On the other hand, they do fit a fighting role very well.

  • @daedricchamp The only "problem" I could see with those knifes is that it makes sense to me to have a blade on the back side as well. It would allow slicing while pulling the knife back. As it is, it could only be used to hook things up without the ability to slice through them.

I would consider modification to make them more "efficient". Perhaps then they would become somewhat more "practical" for boxes and strings as well?

For the stand is assembly. ( watch?v=F1WdbqlqaVM )

  • so are they sharp or not

  • @reecyh They aren't sharp in the sense of cutting with ease, but they do have an edge.

  • haha i have 1 of those

  • i am so getting thom

  • You need to calm down, breathe, and pace yourself. You look good, there is no need to be nervous/anxious in front of the camera. Focus only on the object, and give your opinion and keep every other thought off your mind.

If you can do this, you have some good potential for reviewing. Good voice if you can keep it steady. :D

  • spicy chicken in ma tummy

  • dude ill buy them for under $100 bucks because you got them for $25 so thats a fair deal

  • dude ill buy send me back a message

  • i so want those

  • you sound like you're having a cold!

  • ulaks aren't practical? Whats not exactly practical about them?

  • GETTING SOME IN A COUPLE DAYS!!!! except i'm gonna get stainless steel instead of the black.

  • Right on love the review

  • could we have a link?

  • dude why are u so jumpy? lol

  • Ive got that whole issue with being in front of a camera.

  • @daedricchamp ill buy them from you

  • How much do you won't for them.

  • would you recommend the black blades or silver ones?

  • Its honestly whatever you like more. I would prefer sliver over black. I cant really see any significant difference. unless they are made by a different company.

  • yea, displaying them in a heart shape is a much better idea, that looks badass. They should've made the stand that way.

  • If these were made out of quality steel, they would cost over 120 bucks a piece.

  • is this good quality metal, like a proper strong knife or "Battle Ready" as some people like to call it

  • I would say its about 1/2 and 1/2.

  • i have a pair of these lol

  • YAY TF2 MUSIC BACKGROUND, YEAH! HAHA HA ha ha....ha.....*ahem* *cough*...yeah...okay.

  • Yeah, see? they are different! Check it out on google or something. punch in "Riddick's Ulaks" you'll see they're different. but yeah they are REALLY nice! I WIIL get them soon!

  • my bad i hadn't watched the whole video he explained how they were different

  • Wow, these are REALLY nice. True, they would be better if they were like the ones in the movies and games. But still, very nice, very well made, and PS: they are supposed to be pointing down(I think that the slashing action is better than the stabbing, but that's just me...)

  • wait how are they different than the ones in the movie besides the black color??? i would like to know what you are talking about

  • yeap. They do sell the ones in the game. I ave emm. Very nice for display

  • im gonna wind up making my own, might not be as pretty as those. but they will be usable.... just that bit of a more satisfaction that they can be used and not just for looks.

  • Ulaks are a fantasy blade. You want something similar thats nonfictional go for a trench knife or a katar

  • I have a standard ka-bar fixed blade. Very nice.

  • put together rong

  • does anyone know where can i find a pair of these in romania?

  • these knives are so cool,i have the same ones and my friends keep saying to me that i shouldnt take them everywhere but i do,its like i put them in the car i sleep with them, i just love them

  • so these are qaulity knives?

  • FYI you put the stand together incorrectly. the magnetic piece is supposed to be mounted the other direction. The wooden pegs that stick out of it are supposed to go into the 2nd set of circular holes in the knives.

  • So are the Ulaks real or were they just an amagination of the writer of the movie, i know im looking at them now, but was the desighn of the Ulaks out before Riddicks time or what?

  • Im not really sure, the first time I saw the knives was in the movie, but im not 100% sure.

  • The Ulaks are real. In the game The Chronicles of Riddick Assault On Dark Athena, Riddick specifically says that the Ulaks were first forged by ancient monks. He says it right after you kill the first alpha drone you run into. Not a ghost drone, an alpha drone.

  • Oh yea, I remember that. Do you know if the monk part is true?

  • I wouldn't bet on it, but ya I believe that it could be true.

  • ok awesome

  • Not true. Ulaks are purely fictional. Although I would love a quality carbon steel Ulak...

  • how much do those cost i really want them

  • Are you def and cannot read?

  • tf2 song

  • yes, yes it is

  • yea that back peace with the magnets needs to be turned around

  • from Master Cutlery ?

  • where dit you buy them i saw them in span

  • if you sharpened them could you actually use them to cut... like onions or meats and stuff???

  • Well yea, they wouldn't stay sharp for very long. Their not chef/cutting quality steel.

  • By not practical, I mean that you wouldn't want to take with you if you hunt or do thing that a normal knife is for. These knifes are fine for fighting.

  • the reason the stand didnt work is because you put it together wrong if you put it together right it works fine

  • No, I just dont like it.

  • i own these too and the stand is great you just put it together wrong

  • How'd I do it wrong?

  • the piece with the pegs is backwards the are supposed to slide inside of the holes

  • lol yea

  • Yea, these aren't practical at at, I would recommend a ka-bar knife if you need a practical one.

  • is it possible to sharpen them or is it just cheap steel?

  • Yea, They probly dont hold an edge well though...

  • I want!

  • can i order them to come to greece??

  • If amazon ships to Greece. Maybe you can find a seller in Greece.

  • they're REAL knives, right? i dont want to buy a pair of cheap plastic knives for $25

  • yes the are complete steel. The works

  • cool

  • Yea, I have too pair :)

    beautiful knives!

  • Indeed, they look pretty on a wall or desk
