Well, Simon. What do you have to say about Clay NOW. Is he a superstar enough for you? He's the most powerful thing to ever come out of Idol and we all know it.

In regard to other comments on here, Adam Lambert is good but not as good as Clay. They are both different but if there were to be a competition between the two of them, I'd put my life on Clay.

You haven't heard of Clay recently? seriously? You're not listening. Let me break it down for you... He recently spoke at the HRC gala, he just had a one night concert last night in Raleigh for a PBS special later in the summer (tickets for that sold out so fast he had to get other tickets out!), he's announced the release of his next album going on sale June 1.

And we're only in March. Imagine what will have happened by the time we're in September?

i agree with simon. Simon knows that clay has a great singing voice, perhaps one of the best that he has heard, but clay fails to be a superstar. where is the image? where is the full display of what you can do with your voice? the fireworks? the romance? dance a little, throw out a rose, do a little shout, etc.

You need to remember (or actually you don't know) that Clay was studying to be a Special Education Teacher and singing was his hobby. For a non professional, I think he has amazing stage presence and 7 years later, he shines.

He is one of the best performers I have ever seen live - he's funny, talented and charming. No two concerts are the same and he doesn't rely on dancers, pyrotechnics and special effects - just him, a microphone, two back up singers and band or orchestra. Amazing.

Whatever, Clay will always be one of the greatest, most genuinely talented people to ever be on that show. He's also a millionaire so he can laugh in their faces if he wants to, but he's too much of a gentleman for that.
