@paapaa33 You fail. I own an ISF and 11 second Evo and before that I had a 335i-Audi A32.0T-S2000-RX8-06Si-G35-Jetta 1.8T-built JDM Acura GSR. I am more than capable to comment. You are right about me not liking a BMW, it was in the shop more than in my garage, unlike the ISF.
My brother had a 335i coupe 07, I had a 2008 is-f.. 0-60 and onwards as much as we really cared to race on public roads anyway(about 140-150 Km/h), he took the lead everytime! Like, everytime! So.. I have to give kudos to BMW, wow! On paper the is-f has 100 more horses, but independent tests show the 335i is more like 300 horse to the wheel.. And the torque 300lb/ft at 1.5 rpm is ridiculous.. Trust me, it's a good fight!

Gotta hand it to the bmw driver. Did you not know what the IS-F was capable of? Respect for even going ahead and doing it anyway. Is-F kills just about everything it can reach it's top speed in about 15 seconds..........think about it. The torque just never stops after about 30mph.
I have had nothing but problems with my 335i...new manual tranny, 2 hpfp's, and a total of 10 injectors replaced. But when she is running right the car is unbelievable. Instant torque and great sounding.
yes the bmw is twin turbos but they are from the factory so they arent hugs big like Supra's and Skyline and you got 3.0 six slender so its way far than5.0 v8

Plus the Lexus IS comes in 2 trims (in the US): IS250 (2.5 V6) and a IS350 (3.5 V6) there is no more IS300(except in middle east and Asia-pacific). Also that old IS300 came with an Inline 6 not a V6.

I didnt want to get into this...if you truly know about gearing, you will know that just by looking at numbers you cannot know which will be the best solution. there are too many factors that exist such as redline, where tq curve and hp peak as opposed to the gearing, axle gearing, etc. etc. In most racing applications a close ratio is better than a wider one and the isf has a wider ratio through the first few gears than c63, so lets not get into things that are trial and error for each car
Of course hp and tq curve on the engine comes into play, but the gear ratios also seriously impact performance. You probably looked it up wikipedia and learned it since I picked on you. And I'm not talking about the first few gears. I'm talking gears all the way to the top gears for high end accelerations. I bet the gears on the C63 is taller therefore some of the power is taken out the window. Cars with taller gears require more hp and torque to match up a car with less power and close gears.
actually the ratio between the fist 4gears on the c63 are closer percentage wise than on the isf. they are very close in actual numbers but if you go by percentage from one gear to the next they are almost the same. the isf has a much wider gap between first and second which disproves your theory..but yes its gears are taller, but when it comes to racing the size doesnt matter as much as the percentage between them..thats why i mentioned z06. every car has a different optimal gearing

just for comparison, look at the gearing on a z06 one of the fastest cars out there, it goes 2.66/1.78/1.3/1 . this is a polar opposite of all of the cars mentioned, but it works for that particular cars build. put that in the isf or m3 and the cars might not even make it down strip in 20 sec. so please , lets not get into gearing. and will it make you feel better if i was in 6th grade or that I own 3 businesses and just sit around and play with my cars and computer all day?

Hp, tq, and weight don't tell you the final result. You completely left out the gear ratios. If you look at the Mercedes C63's gear ratios they are much taller. Check out the IS-F's and see how much it is different than the other. You probably don't even have a clue what I'm talking about. They raced the M3, Z06, RS4, c55amg, and ISF all with same race driver on same track. C55, and Isf went last and had worst times. Z06 best, then M3. Definitely fun to drive though.

Since you are stupid, I will try to re-iterate for you. The Power-to-Weight ratio doesn't tell you everything. It's a small part of equation to determine how fast car accelerates. You can have a car A with better Power-to-Weight Ratio and a car with less Power-to-Weight Ratio and the car B still out accelerates it. This is mainly due to gearing. Why do you think the IS-F is able to keep up, or beat the other cars w/ higher HP and Torque? It's because of the closely spaced gears. Learn..learn

the manual yes, but not the DCT DKG, the gear shifts are extremely quick, i can beat a manual m3 e92 with my 535xi dinan stage 2 ecu with exhaust, but can't touch the DCT DKG very big difference, BMW almost made a different car.
the M3 runs a full second and 10 MPH faster in the quarter than the IS350. That is EXTREMELY significant, the m3 is much quicker. And you didn't "rape" a 335, unless the driver was a challenged person. The M3 and IS-F run similar times, with similar power to weight. How would it "crush" it? Look your facts up buddy. They are not mass produced they are made off supply/demand terms and since the beginning, japanese has priced lower than germans for competitive costs reasoning. It took Lexus only a few years to become the no.1 car brand and now we see Infiniti doing the exact same by showing customers a competitive price for the same or more that germans have to offer...

I Said the 335i is NOT a v6, it is an inline 6.
Plus the Lexus IS comes in 2 trims (in the US): IS250 (2.5 V6) and a IS350 (3.5 V6) there is no more IS300(except in middle east and Asia-pacific). Also that old IS300 came with an Inline 6 not a V6.

I didnt want to get into this...if you truly know about gearing, you will know that just by looking at numbers you cannot know which will be the best solution. there are too many factors that exist such as redline, where tq curve and hp peak as opposed to the gearing, axle gearing, etc. etc. In most racing applications a close ratio is better than a wider one and the isf has a wider ratio through the first few gears than c63, so lets not get into things that are trial and error for each car

Of course hp and tq curve on the engine comes into play, but the gear ratios also seriously impact performance. You probably looked it up wikipedia and learned it since I picked on you. And I'm not talking about the first few gears. I'm talking gears all the way to the top gears for high end accelerations. I bet the gears on the C63 is taller therefore some of the power is taken out the window. Cars with taller gears require more hp and torque to match up a car with less power and close gears.

actually the ratio between the fist 4gears on the c63 are closer percentage wise than on the isf. they are very close in actual numbers but if you go by percentage from one gear to the next they are almost the same. the isf has a much wider gap between first and second which disproves your theory..but yes its gears are taller, but when it comes to racing the size doesnt matter as much as the percentage between them..thats why i mentioned z06. every car has a different optimal gearing

just for comparison, look at the gearing on a z06 one of the fastest cars out there, it goes 2.66/1.78/1.3/1 . this is a polar opposite of all of the cars mentioned, but it works for that particular cars build. put that in the isf or m3 and the cars might not even make it down strip in 20 sec. so please , lets not get into gearing. and will it make you feel better if i was in 6th grade or that I own 3 businesses and just sit around and play with my cars and computer all day?

Hp, tq, and weight don't tell you the final result. You completely left out the gear ratios. If you look at the Mercedes C63's gear ratios they are much taller. Check out the IS-F's and see how much it is different than the other. You probably don't even have a clue what I'm talking about. well of course, umm what v12 turbo if i recall... but from what i understand, not a good car on the track. rear end gets too loose cause of power to weight. They raced the M3, Z06, RS4, c55amg, and ISF all with same race driver on same track. C55, and Isf went last and had worst times. Z06 best, then M3. Definitely fun to drive though.

Since you are stupid, I will try to re-iterate for you. The Power-to-Weight ratio doesn't tell you everything. It's a small part of equation to determine how fast car accelerates. You can have a car A with better Power-to-Weight Ratio and a car with less Power-to-Weight Ratio and the car B still out accelerates it. This is mainly due to gearing. the M3 runs a full second and 10 MPH faster in the quarter than the IS350. That is EXTREMELY significant, the m3 is much quicker. And you didn't "rape" a 335, unless the driver was a challenged person. The M3 and IS-F run similar times, with similar power to weight. How would it "crush" it? Look your facts up buddy. They are not mass produced they are made off supply/demand terms and since the beginning, japanese has priced lower than germans for competitive costs reasoning. You know nothing. My Dad had his M3 and drove it HARD for 5 years with ZERO problems.. Iv owned Jap cars.. my gf and other friends have had Toyotas shit out on them far more often than Euros do!

The only good thing about the Toyotas is they are cheap to fix because they are such a mass production product. The more of somthing you make.. the cheaper it gets! Its called economies of scale. BMW is not poor quality idiot. My family have had many Euros and never any problems with them. We have also had Toyotas and had similar downs and highs in turms of performance and maintenance. You my friend have the same brand-focused fooled eyes u try to lay onto Euro or BMW owners!
