  • If you watch Triplets of Belleville again, the main character in this film actually makes a cameo. It was nice to see that he paid tribute to his old work.

  • he can afford a welding torch but not a sandwich?

  • What's the name of the music at 3:37? It's awesome!

  • @100mythfreak All the music it's original, composed by Jean Corti for the short.

  • @100mythfreak

    Fiorina by Jean Corti :)

  • @Bananantics yes, my heart breaks for her a little bit at 1:36. :(

  • those pigeon eyes really scare me.

  • Why doesn't he just eat the pigeons?!

  • I will never look at pigeons the same way again.

  • Il est trop méchant avec la vieille dame!

  • why is that guy impolite in front of the elderly woman?

  • @UlquiorraNo4 I think it's because he's trying to give pigeons a bad name...

  • Puts american multimillion illustration films to shame...

  • This is so sad...the poor old woman lives so alone that she has nothing but her pigeons in her life...and the guy is so poor he has to pretend to be an animal to eat.

As beautiful as Les Triplettes de Belleville, poetic. Magic.

  • @Porcelanesa Yeah but the ending just gets super fucked up and funny.

  • c'est génial Bravo Chomet

  • I am Afraid :S

  • He's sure becoming healthy to some cultures!

  • this is scary

  • What is so great about this short film is that you can

see the early versions of many figures/concepts

    from Belleville:

The fat dog with the shakey legs,

the old short lady, the rediculously obiss figures...

    Pure genius.

  • i was thinking the same thing! it's like he made these characters and just couldn't stop drawing them. (i can see why, they must be absolutely fantastic to animate)

  • @liolev Exactly. The little old lady who feeds the pigeons is like a combination of the Old Grandmother and the mousy mechanic, from "Triplets". He has such a unique animation style!

  • @liolev Super skinny guy with a massive nose too.

  • @liolev i agree. i see a lot of belleville in the animations and minimal dialogue. i really enjoy the drawings. some border on grotesque but i mean that in the highest respect.

  • Couldn't he just eat the pidgeons?

They're already so fat and easy to catch

  • i love this.. i relly want to know whats the name of the song as its amazing

  • I absolutly agree

  • @shadoodadoo It's such a great song, can't find anything about it though...

  • @shadoodadoo

I don't know the name but I found on IMDB that the artis may be Jean Corti

  • @shadoodadoo

The name of this song is Fiorina by Jean Corti :)

  • Poor naked pigeon :(

    Thanks for this :D
