Yeah but then I remember seeing the 3 Stooges in concert twice in Canada in the mid sixties in which Moe told kids not to poke each other in the eyes like they saw in their movies as it had caused some kids to go blind as their friends poked them in the eyes way too hard. Also assumeing that kids hitting other kids over the head with chairs, boards and so on must have hurt some kids down the road. I don't know when this piece was filmed but I know what I heard
sketch was kinda off ive got most CD's of stooges and ive seen this 1 before it was kinda off. if u want to c it look at suggestions and look at 3 stooges slowly i turn by darkages365
This is hilarious! I was cracking up! And then to Julie Newmar, Catwoman from the Batman t.v. show, just fantastic! So awesome! Thank you for sharing! (Now, to watch it again!) :)
Moe even played his Three Stooges Persona as him being a old man it's like he knows he's old now so he's casually sitting by reading the newspaper and all of a sudden Niagra Falls lol.
Boy every time i mention niagra falls, NIAGRA FALLS!!! slowly i turned, step by step, inch by inch, i gouged is eyes, ripped his shirt and then knocked him down..... ROFL
Got my picture taken with the 3 Stooges when I was about 10 years old along with my brother, sister and Mom. Still have the picture. What a great memory!
I saw this in an interview it's prolly on here though-anyways he said he did his hair in a coomeover because it reminded him of shemp.,,,,its sad yet cute all at the same time!
This sketch is also done in an episode of I love lucy but just a bit different....the trigger word is "Martha"... only the best of the best make this sketch good (by the best i mean Lucy n one of the 3 stooges)
kiDD1963: I found out from one of the commenters on this page and after watching a biography movie of them,
he passed away in May of 1975. My God if
I had known he was still alive I would have written letters to him (since they didn't have e-mail back then) and thanked him for all the laughter. Opportunity missed. God rest his dear soul and all the Stooges that made us laugh. They were Laughter Angels sent from God to keep us happy on this miserable planet!!
Thanks for the memories. My grandfather knew the original stooges when they visited the LASCO Co. in Los Angeles, Ca. They were the nicest honest men around.
Curly died in 1952, Larry and Moe both died in 1975. Shemp died in 1955, Emil died in 1998, Joe Besser died in 1988, and Curly Joe died in 1993. So, in the case, of the originals they all died over 30 years ago.
He was an un-official Stooge. Moe wanted him to be a part of the new Three Stooges with him and Curly Joe DeRita. Sadly, Moe died before they could tour with the act.
He was also the guy who said, "Hold hands, you lovebirds" in the Stooges short "Brideless Groom."
Ive been watching all the parts to this and in 2 already moe has a clear white skin, but in the others and this one...his skin around his eyes are white but the rest of his skin was brown. Is that sun burn or something that happins whenu get lung cancer??
Moe's joints are clearly going stiff here, and I'm not sure him losing his balance was intentional.
That just shows you how resilient Moe was, though: Through broken ribs, two dead brothers, a ripped up contract with Columbia, and old age, Moe was a funnyman to the very end. Death was the only thing that could stop him.
Andy Samberg can't open his mouth without staring at cue cards. Moe does this by memory. Tom Bosley does this bit on the original Bill Cosby Show (the Chet Kincaid one)
I agree, Moe was a stooge to the end. There will never be any comedy act as good as theirs. I was a young teen when they tried to bring them back in cartoons. But that didn't catch on. And nobody they tried could replace Curly.
This is a variation of the original. The original I remembered had "the chase" going to Miami, New Orleans, and Dallas. Also, the original had no "triple team on the bride".
Bogart, Gable, Grant etc.........were Hollywood legends, but comparing comedic skills between the Stooges and the Marx Brothers??? Stooges win hands down. "74" years later, after their first short, they are still being watched faithfully by a countless number of people throughout the world.
I think that's stretching it a bit. Humphrey Bogart, Clark Gable, Cary Grant, Spencer Tracy and "The Duke" were, are and always will be legends whose acting and reputations far outweigh the low-brow talents of the Stooges Three. In fact, The Marx Brothers were a far more clever and inventive trio insofar as comedic skills are concerned.
Don't get me wrong--I like the Stooges--but not so much that I can't keep things in perspective.
Her real name is Julie Newmeyer, and she has spent most of her life taking care of a disabled son.
Previous to her appearances as TV's original "Catwoman" on the "Batman" series, the lanky and health-conscious Newmar had been a chorus girl in such films as "Lil' Abner" and "Seven Brides For Seven Brothers," also had a co-starring role in the series "My Living Doll" with Bob Cummings, playing a sexy robot named "Rhoda."
Black actress/singer Eartha Kitt replaced Newmar for a few episodes on "Batman," and actress/1955 Miss America Lee Meriwether played "Catwoman" in the feature film based on the series, because Newmar was making another film at the time. But Newmar returned to the series as "Catwoman" for at least a final appearance, even after Eartha Kitt had played the role.
Newmar also appeared in guest roles on numerous TV dramas and sitcoms throughout the 1960's and '70's, including "Bewitched," "Get Smart," "The Monkees" and "The Twilight Zone," but will be most remembered for her role as the sexy, felonious feline counterpart to Adam West's "Batman."
Too bad we can't see the part in the interview when Mike Douglas asks Moe how long he thinks the Stooges will be remembered and Moe says, "Forever might be asking a bit much but with a little luck we may just make it."
I know. And it seemed like it was all he could do to keep his balance during the sketch. He still had the goods to make you laugh, but you could see he was near the end.

Good Ole Moe, "He's still got it." The way he and LarryFine can remember all those old stories and names after so many, many long years. Guess they didn't have alzheimers back then. May all the Stooges Rest in Peace, their antics will carry on and on. They could never have imagined in the next millenium that kids would still be immitating "The Curly Shuffle". My 10 year old grandson does a decent one!!!!
I don't know if Moe was purposely falling over or if that was his condition...made me wanna stop watching it halfway through cuz I didn't wanna see one of my idols fall flat on his face haha...
No. He wasn't falling over... that's the part where he normally yells "BLOOD! BLOOD! Pools and rivers of BLOOD!" You can tell the way he hikes up his pants (watch the original from "Gents without cents." He just left that bit of dialogue out this time.
I've been watching the Stooges for over 50 years, and I never get tired of them. I regret that for a time I only lived a few miles from Moe & Larry when they were in the Woodland Hills retirement home, and never tried to see them or simply send them a card...
My God... can somebody do it like them? Can it be another Moe? Another Curly? Another Shemp? Another Joe? Another Curly Joe? Lord no... just look at him... time didn't pass on him... he was a pro, the best. Thank God for The Three Stooges.

I regret that for a time I only lived a few miles from Moe & Larry when they were in the Woodland Hills retirement home, and never tried to see them or simply send them a card...

just as funny now as when he did it on GENTS WITHOUT CENTS funnier to be seeing a 70 year old doing it though lol

Wow! Great Stuff!
A lot of fun to see and hear Moe in the 1970s.
Glad that he hung around long enough to make these appearances.

Incredible
My God... can somebody do it like them? Can it be another Moe? Another Curly? Another Shemp? Another Joe? Another Curly Joe? Lord no... just look at him... time didn't pass on him... he was a pro, the best. Thank God for The Three Stooges.
