and just saw imagine that.i thought it was good not the best but good.
if eddie was to start doing older rated films he would proberly get critizzed i think he can still pull off these type of movies and the kids love him.whats wrong with that?
I'm not really a fan because of all the Doolittle movies, the second Nutty Proffessor, but i liked the movie where he was an African prince. I can't remember the name, but i liked the situation, and the over-all great acting.
Thank you for the Eddie Murphy intervention. I loved him on SNL, but Daddy Daycare was pretty good too I gotta admit. He needs to stop making kiddie movies for a little while though. And Grace good job handling that interview with that little boy. You're a saint. That's so sweet.
who knows maybe he tired of trying to make great movies and get no rewards for it so he is going for the money now. I a agree with you grace he should go back to that, because he isn't getting any younger.
leave eddie alone he has a lot of kids let him do as he pleases he will come back to being an adult at some point we hope . the kid in the interview was annoying, sorry but he was kids like that are sooooo annoying ,and some kids are cool not that one at this point.. love eddie no matter what glad that he is out there !!!!!! some actors disapear not eddie
Eddie stop with the kid flix, what are you a pedo. We miss the coming to america's, beverly hills cop 1 & 2 (not 3) and the occasional nutty professor gigs. Either come back to the fans strong or make room for new talent, and trust me, with the way your career is going you can be easily replaced. TRUST ME!
gotta recognize it's the most hilarious Beyond the trailer clip i have ever seen, interviewing that kid only. And Beverly Hills Cop should be my option
Coming to America it was first time he played multiple characters in a movie, it had James Earl Jones and lots of things to laugh about and it was also a movie to remember..
Great video! I loved the - much needed - Eddie Murphy intervention. Anyway, my favorite Eddie Murphy film is Coming To American (with The Nutty Professor being a close second).
For me it was when he played Jiff, Kit Ramsey's twin brother in "Bowfinger" alongside Steve Martin. There's a scene where he bolts across a highway and almost gets hit by every car on the road.
I love BTT but I can't ever get used to Adrienne at the end of the episode. There's so many wacky facial expressions mixed with a sarcastic sounding voice, but maybe I'll get used to that.
I would think family comedies are good for long term success. After all since Grace wants him back at the adult table. When the kids grow up, Eddie will still attract an audience from them, either for nostalgia purposes or their own kids.
I loved Beverly Hills Cop, but as a 17 year old, that wasn't really my generation. What got me to originally like him was his voice work on "Mulan" and the first "Shrek."
I feel sorry for the guy. He just can't get a good role. It's either family comedies or crap like "Norbit."
I think Eddie Murphy's just trying to carve out his own niche, especially given that his comedy for young kids seem to have more hits among them than his attempts at comedy for older moviegoers. And that he didn't win an Oscar for his performance in Dreamgirls didn't exactly make him happy. I think he's sticking to kids movies because kids aren't as demanding as older moviegoers and it's easy filmmaking.
And you're right Grace, Eddie needs to go back to making movies that we as LONG time fans would like to see again, enough of the family films; even though I liked "Daddy Day Care", but enough is enough :)
Oh come on Grace, too easy! Coming to America, was Eddie's best film for me as a kid! the scene where Samuel L. Jackson gets trip up by Eddies broom stick, was so kool!
