  • hey hypno did u change ur xfire name?

  • @beckwithpj one does not simply change their Xfire name.

  • @Hypnotoadtrance hey dude how do i get xfire to record dolphin whilst dolphin is using direct3D11??

  • @beckwithpj While Xfire now officially supports Direct3D11, due to Dolphin's frequent updates, compatibility between revisions may vary. However, mine currently works, and I have been regularly updating.

In the Xfire client, go to Tools - > Options - > Games

find the Dolphin entry, and in the Renderer combo-box, select "Direct3D11" (or Directx11, whatever they call it) hit "Apply", and XIG should now work when using D3D11 in Dolphin.

    Cheers.

  • @Hypnotoadtrance IT WORKED YOU CLEVER SON OF A BITCH XDXDXD

  • ok my x fire alrdrdy was able to read my pj64 but i cant use xfire in game i have xfire ingame enalbed on alrdy idk wat to do

  • Thank you, i had the unresponsive controller issue but then resolved it because of you !

  • i got xfire ingame to work...but whenever i have xfire and pj64 running...my pj64 controls are unresponsive. anyone have a fix?

  • @JuiceManPOLO This is a common issue that people face when trying to use PJ64 with Xfire and are NOT using a gamepad (a controller) to play Pj64. To correct this issue, please change PJ64's InGameFlags to look like this: InGameFlags=ENABLE_MOUSE|MULTIPLE_WINDOWS|USE_PRESENT|USE_WINDOWS_INPUT

    It should then be responsive.

  • It says when I start-up Project64 "Press Scroll Lock + X to respond" but it does nothing.

  • Why does PJ64 1.7 say Leroy Jenkins somewhere? and, is this battletoads?

  • hell yeah you rock :D

  • Ok i went to the Xfire_games.ini file and for some reason Project64 wasn't in there. How do i add Project 64 to this?

  • @Darthdb625 Just paste this code at the bottom of the ini. [6427] LongName=Project64 ShortName=prj64 LauncherDirKey=HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{9559F7CA-5E34-4237-A2D9-D856464AD727}\InstallLocation LauncherExe=Project64.exe Launch=%UA_LAUNCHER_EXE_PATH% LauncherDirDefault=C:\ InGameRenderer=D3D8 InGameFlags=ENABLE_MOUSE|MULTIPLE_WINDOWS|USE_PRESENT|USE_WINDOWS_INPUT Then manual-detect it and all should work.
  • Thanks soo much.

  • @dakoslug Glad it helped you. And don't forget to check out Xfire Game Customizer! (Link in description)

  • Thanks heaps for putting this up! I have a question - is it possible to connect XFire and Project64 when the graphics plugin I am using is Glide64 ('Napalm WX' release 1)? I can't figure out how to do so if it is :)

  • @LoquaciousPiggy I dont think xfire will support glide's plugin.

However, you could try editing the InGameRenderer option to one of these:

    D3D7,D3D8,D3D9,OGL

If xfire doesnt work with one of those, then it wont work with glide's plugin.

Note each time you change the in-game renderer, you need to restart xfire.

  • i want to broadcasting Portal 2 with Project64 because maybe i don't have any laggs but i can't because this is not apear to be valid because is not ROM ... pls help me sorry for my bad english :(

  • @19iggy94 I am not entirely sure what you're asking.... but it seems like you want to broadcast Portal 2? Xfire already supports Portal 2. (Open Xfire_games.ini and search for "Portal 2")

If you're using a *cough* steamless version *cough* you may need to adjust some of the settings.

I do not have Portal 2 (trust me I want it though!), so I haven't tested this code, but my friends have been uploading videos and screenshots. So it works.

  • i don't play this game in steam version , in Xfire_games.ini i'm just changing launcher , and xfire detect him when i play but i don't get it how it work? I mean Project64 is for Nintendo games in my opinion :D

  • @19iggy94 Uhhhh......

So if I'm interpreting that correctly, you are trying to run Portal 2 with Project64? Obviously that won't work. I think you may have misunderstood what I meant when I said "You can do this for any game" I didn't mean you make every game work through Project64, I meant that you edit the settings accordingly so that Xfire detects it.

And regardless, Portal 2 already has support....so......I don't know what you're trying to accomplish.

  • okay i figured out how to make it work for XP basicly if you set it up on windows XP if you go on fullscreen you'll crash for sure but on windowed mode its okay but i can't confirm it works for sure maybe its because i'm using the beta quest cheats?

  • i got it to work with XP now i can record my beta questing game shark code cheat i added on :o

  • hah i couldn't find program data in their so i searched xfire and found Xfire_Games and it says its location is Program Files/Xfire? thats dif. then yours :o

  • Do you have to have a controller to play afterwards? I am using my keyboard and project64 does not want to recognize it anymore. Although xfire takes it's commands.

  • @isnay2003

Ah to Xfire is getting greedy with the keys eh?

I have only ever used a Gamepad with it. If you cannot get keys to go through to the emulator, try going back to the xfire_games.ini file and finding Projec64. Change the InGameFlags to look like this:

    InGameFlags=ENABLE_MOUSE|MULTIPLE_WINDOWS|USE_WINDOWS_INPUT

  • @Hypnotoadtrance Works perfectly now. Thank you again, one of the best tutorials on the internet.

  • @isnay2003

    Happy to help.

  • @isnay2003

  • Thanks to you good sir! Exactly what I was looking, broadcasting some Zelda right now ^_^
