what i do in pack racing is hang back there to not get caught in a big wreck or get bouned off of a guy that takes up the whole track.

Even though I haven't played iRacing, I would be very aggressive compared to you. Sadly I would be like Denny Hamlin, but your driving style finishes races and does decent, while I might do better, I'll probably wreck a lot more and be crazy lol.

@666jewkid If the penalty for hitting other trucks, finishing poorly, and wrecking, were not so high, i would do that. But since that stuff is dependent on what you can and can't run, I think I'll just ride around at the beginning of the race like I was doing here, rather than making stupid moves on trucks that didn't run more than 15 laps before wrecking. And I lay back further because I don't need much of the draft to keep up, and I can see better. If none of that makes sense, than too bad.

iracing's system will determine it to be avoidable contact, and you get a hit on your safety rating. So technically, no.

You don't read very well, do you? I never said wrecking is not a part of racing. And i've watched 20 years of racing, and I know that plate tracks can turn into parking lots with nowhere to go, no matter how much you 'push it to the edge'. Keep in mind this was the first few laps of the race and you can't run like this the whole time and not get in trouble. And I wasnt worried about anybody seeing me, I was worried about seeing up the track so I could miss the wreck... which I did. And won. LOL

I let off because I have ahold of the draft so I don't need to run bumper to bumper, since there is nowhere to go anyway. I also like to keep back to help with visibility and to help with avoiding any wrecks.

Racing is also about being smart, and when the track in front of you resembles a parking lot, there really isn't a whole lot you can do. u know its funny how my first 3 or so races at daytona with the trucks were pretty clean.. but i think ppl got use to them, or so they thought. my last 5 races i ran that week were just stupid. cautions about ever 3-4 laps... and with that said i hope they get talladega soon, can u imagine that 3-4 wide? LOL
