Finaly, something Chuck Norris CANT beat. Actualy, Nightmare's biggest flaw is the gyroscopis forces(spinning forces) created by his Rotary Bludgeoning Device(disc, NOT A BLADE). It can spin at 300mph, thats why when he is hit by a strong enough horizontal(sideways) force, the shear power of gyroscopic forces sends him flying. Watch SunshineLolibot vs T- and you'll see what I mean.

Nightmare had an awesome, flashy design, but the critical weakness was the blade. While it was good for a few hits, the massive torque inflicted on the drive system and the axle would tear them apart if the weapon was used more than a few times. If you had a tough bot, the best way to beat Nightmare was ironically to run as hard as you could into the blade. It would eventually fail, and as long as you could outlast it you would win the fight.

@braseldazzle I believe nightmare uses a twin v belts driven by a single motor one on either side of the flywheel. The motor would have to be quite powerful to get the RPM's that it gets. and the more powerful motor the faster battery drain.

I know what you mean. Nightmare is usually a one hit KO bot. If he doesn't kill within the first few hits the other bot will usually run circles around him if he can't get the disc back up to speed. Everything depends on the disc and the right angle, plus his wheels are very exposed. I've seen quite a few times where his wheels would become ripped right off. But Nightmare destroyed everyone back in the day.

It looks like all that force was transmitted down through the frame into the wheels, and the right wheel, evidently couldn't take it.
