well there are pros and cons too both. a tablet pc is like a touch screen so you can always know exactly where you are on the drawing because its like drawing on paper where as with a wacom they take getting used too cus its more like a mouse. the only downside to the touch screen is that sometimes your hand gets in the way when your drawing but yea i've had both and i love the tablet pc way more. its fun to use for just random things like web surfing with the pen
hmm... have you tried getting the drivers from wacom? my tablet pc isn't even from them but when i first got t it wasn't working so i just installed some generic drivers from wacom and it worked.
photoshop and blender... i basicly drew up textures and bits of the monster in photoshop and then used the tablet in blender to projection paint them onto the model.
its aa secound hand one so it was only NZL$400. but i use it all the time... its pretty much a laptop but the screen spins around and then folds down so you can use it as a tablet.(well you can use it when its standing up its just an awkward angle) now that i've had this i don't think i'll ever by a laptop that isn't a tablet... its just soo handy... and alot more fun too. generally tablets are almost twice the price of a laptop of the same specs.. but i think its worth it.
looks like pokemon

I've been told tablet pcs aren't as good as Wacoms, but I really want a laptop so I can carry it around with me. What do you think I should get?
