hola yo no soy experto en esto diria que nada, pero mi pantalla esta fallando y ya van 2 veces que la arreglan y me dijeron que un cable andaba suelto, por eso fallo la segunda vez pero otra vez esta fallando y yo quiero abrirla y ver si lo puedo arreglar por que ya gaste mucho dinero que me recomiendan? lo hago yo o de nuevo gasta mi dinero que me salio bastante caro :/ estoy desesperado y en verdad necesito mi computadora, pero es que salen muchas rayas y despues se hace blanca la pantalla :(

@Lernatix just follow the procedure in reverse. Should be simpler than removing the screen.

i have a doubt i broke the bisel of my laptop( im an amateur in this)

whats the name of the black part that you take out first of the screen that snaps, another thing you can buy just the frontal part or come all together with the screen i only need the frontal part. is possible to find it?

I'm disappointed with these laptops. Yesterday I was taking down notes perfectly fine with my laptop in school, but this morning there was a random black spot on the top left corner. I heard it was due to manufacturing problem with overheating, but when people complain to HP they just say it's customer abuse, even when the black splotch is in the inside of the screen and there's no crack.

also, do you think that pressing the sides of the screen (the cover) would cause permanent damage to the screen? so much that replacing it wouldn't help?

I just recently broke the screen of my HP Mini 110-3020tu. However, the screen isn't cracked- it is just that one half of it is black with coloured pinstripes. Can you please tell me whether this procedure will work?

Thank you I have successfully removed my broken screen. My model the Compaq Mini CQ10-500SA bought in the UK is identical. The video is so much more helpful than words as the key thing is having the confidence to take of the bezel, not worrying about the loud clicks or there being any screws in the way

I have this model laptop, My 5 year old nephew cracked the entire top screen and it now hangs by a wire. I need to replace the entire screen half, do you have any suggestions how I could do this?

@hunteyvonne Sadly no, In fact the entire computer is now being replaced since I went to the HP site and looked for the parts. they DO actually have them up for order, but since my wires were split and everything it couldn't be fixed. hope you have better luck however.

just followed this video guide to replacing my friend's LCD, let me know exactly what I needed to look out for..... used a guitar pick to pry the plastic cover off, only broke one piece but not noticeable once its put back together, working like a charm, very easy, A+

That's a completely different procedure. I would find an HP service manual for this.

HP sent me a whole new top part when I ordered a screen ( including the frame and everything ). I don't know how to take off & replace the top part of this laptop because this video only has replacing the screen. Any help?
