I played Dota 1 for a very very long time. Then i got my new computer that was able to play better games so i started playing LoL and it was great. I play lol for like 1,5 years now but i still enjoy playing dota 2 sometimes.. but overall i think lol is better because you have a much better overview on the minimap and the map overall is not that big.. but STILL dota 2 is a great game of course

all i can say is they're different lol is made more for people new to moba games while hon is a bit more hardcore. like you dont get as much help in HoN as you do in LoL as for dota 2 i haven't played it i dont know but i assume it'll be simmilar to HoN as in not exactly newbie friendly also the fact that LoL are apparently the only one of the three that actually thought up their own characters is a + in my book

So where is this magical 40 million from? There's a reason Riot likes to feed their community baloney. They release a silly chart with rounded up/bloated figures and their fans go wild. If you read the latest illustration they made, it clearly says they have 11.5 million active MONTHLY ACCOUNTS. There are at least 2-3 million smurfs/double accounts. 11.5m minus 2-3m = 8.5-9.5 million active players. Dota is mostly played on 3rd party clients. 12-14 million active global players

That's a misunderstanding I'm afraid. I play LoL all the time and the announcement clearly said 32 million registrered accounts. Considering I alone have about 5 accounts on the 3 servers, I doubt there;s 32 million unique users. 9-11 million is a better guess,

If a game is based off of an existing game that was hugely popular and still is (Dota) then they have a right to compare. If you have a cat, and I have a cat, I can compare the cats even if they are of a different breed. Why are people from LoL so stupid some times? You say 32 million when on the chart it says 32.5 million accounts have been registered. That doesn't = active players. It means that ever since LoL was launched it has had that many accounts made.

There is no offical annoucement from any source saying that DoTA has 14 mil active global, there is ONLY an estimation based on map downloads since it is too hard to track the amount of players for an offline game. Not only is Dota more popular... it's more balanced, and Dota 2 will offer things LoL is still missing even 2 years after it was launched. Dota 2 is where anyone with a competitive mindset should be. LoL offers a "dumbed down" Dota experience. Riot can't even balance their game properly, and yet continually add in new and exciting "rehashed" champs and skins. No thanks! I would rather play a more competitive game that offers more variety and is actually balanced properly.

The majority of HoN players freak the fuck out when you die 1 time, despite the amount of kills or cs you have. Why would I want to play with a bunch of whiney bitches?
