  • @ped200014 He and Frank Batten founded the channel. He served as the CEO and president during the start-up and it's first year of operation... I'm not arguing that global warming is a hoax. I'm arguing that humans have nothing to do with it. The earth has gone through many warm and cool periods. It's cyclical. We have people trying to capitalize on it.

  • @Redfingers. "He who angers you, conquers you"

    -Elizabeth Kenny

  • Also, you gullible tree hugging whackos, just thought I'd let you know that gullible is no longer in the dictionary...

  • @firedogvegas

SCIENTIFIC JOURNAL. Do you read, faggot? Do you read? Have you ever been to school? Have you ever opened a book? Were you truant in high school? Did you do drugs? Did your parents fuck pigs and out popped you, ignoramus extraordinaire? Why do you think anyone should take you seriously when you bleat about issues you do not understand?

Read a fucking book. Jesus Christ.

  • Amazing what people will believe.. FYI, the FOUNDER OF THE WEATHER CHANNEL, John Coleman, and the former US national academy of sciences president, Frederick Seitz, as well as 30,000 + (that's THIRTY THOUSAND) scientists say that man made global warming is a hoax.. Google Oregon petition you credulous morons. No wonder this country is such a mess!

  • @firedogvegas

That petition of 30,000 scientists was a hoax. Irony of ironies, dumbfuck. Go read a god damn book.

The thing that scares me is you assholes vote. Do the civic thing. Burn your voter ID card. Stay home this November. Turn on the gas and light a match.

  • @Redfingers

dont be angry, he's probably paid to spread his bullshit.

  • Comment removed

  • This guy always cracks me up. How out of touch do you have to be to say that the "green technology" being produced in China could be produced here? Only by magically turning a variety of fantasies into reality.

  • I am not at a level to comment Russian & Western European Scientists.

As about the climate system - it is much more complex.

    1. UV of the Sun - reflection, chemical reactions.

    2. UV → Ground → IR↑↑

    3. IR → GHGs {H2O(vapour), CO2, CH4, N2O, CFCs, O3 etc.} → IR↓↓

    4. Water Cycles & CO2 cycles → Energy Exchange

    5. Deviations in the Sun → solar flare, Milankovich, cycles of solar radiation, etc.

    6. His Majesty —the Human: emitting CO2 in 'patches' on the Earth without having any idea what he is doing

  • Is this an example of Manufacturing Consent?

  • Anyone who's owned a saltwater aquarium will know that the ocean depends upon a very sensitive chemical balancing act. If you treat it like a bottomless waste dump it will eventually stop working. It's only a matter of time.

  • Its incredibly rare, but here i actually spotted a mistake in something Chomsky says.

While China leads when it comes to solar cells / photovoltaic, wind power is pretty much in the hands of Germany. Recently ive been in hamburg and taking a tour of the port, and ive seen hundreds of foundations for offshore wind generators, the part connecting a large wind turbine to the ocean floor, each one the size of about 4 freight containers.

  • @kurtilein3 "Its incredibly rare, but here i actually spotted a mistake in something Chomsky says." that made me laugh.

  • note to self: do not vote for obama... vote for mitt romney or sarah palin - "a dumbass is better then a smart ass"

  • If he ran for president, would he win?

  • Well, my friend, we wont need to debate the issue long. Even if humans are responsible and it's the co2 ... there are so many other pollutants, wars, coming wars, and future natural disasters, that anthropogenic causality will be mitigated by the undeniable probability that future humanity will be vastly diminished in numbers and hunting rabbits with sharpened sticks. Hence, no more pollution. Such hubris .... we rave at one another online as if we will be around forever.

  • Still waiting for him to explain, with global warming solar system wide, how my car exhaust is reaching mars. Greed may be our undoing, but doubt it will be CO2. Listen closely ... he chants the liberal montra, using terms like 'global warming denier'. There is climate change, but as to the anthropogenic ... they don't have a clue.

  • @corax2012 Are you for real? Have you looked into any of the published papers? Have you done an ounce of research for yourself?

  • @corax2012

'Greed may be our undoing but doubt it will be CO2'

It is not about Greed &CO2 -it is about an attitude towards the world of the people with money & power & access to making decisions that can influence the ongoing and the future situation.

The attitude is: It doesn't matter who says what, it doesn't matter what will happen to the future generations, and it doesn't matter how far a mess could go -all that matters is to keep our fast & easy profits & that nothing can be proved for sure

  • RE: 'The public's hatred of ..the banks'

The suggestion here is that such hatred is unjustified, but it is deeply justified. The greed of the banks and their top design development Modern Money Mechanics are the trouble of all troubles. A machine which is secured by debts (of people) cannot virtually collapse. The calculations may proceed to infinity. Modern Money Mechanics put the financial sector on top of the food chain (above the human species) -this is outperforming the Pyramid of Kukulkan.

  • Genius, love this man.

  • Funny how commentators love the "science" bought & paid by the oil companies - as if it's objective, .... funny!

  • @tapolna and how they think that govt grants are going to pay climate scientists more then those funded by big oil.

  • What a bunch of right-wing, head-in-the-sand, a__holes responding to the truth. Petro will last forever and CO2 is good for you - sounds like forward thinking to me. Just deny bad news and do nothing about it....

  • This far-left nut job is a puppet for George Soros and the Socialist NWO. Don't believe a single word he says! Oh wait, I forgot. These are libtards I'm talking to.

  • @TexasFreedomFighter aww poor baby doesnt like democracy and freedom of speech. guess what both parties are funded by big buisinesses, guess what else libs built the middleclass, and the last dirty little secret...Reagan raised taxes 7 times! dun dun dun! now get back to your drought ridden state and keep on climate denien!

  • @twizelby You may have learned that in the Quaternary (the current geologic period)that the Earth has been unusually cold, and that global warming increases biodiversity.

  • @TexasFreedomFighter holy shit are you really going to look at 2.8 million year and then tell me that you dont understand that industrialisation only started happening in the 1800's. thats like kodak (who is going bankrupt) saying "well we were doing really good financially for 50 years maybe these last ten years dont mean anything because we did so well 10 yrs ago. we will get through this!"

  • Peak Oil has been around since the industrial revolution

  • @frolly1000 dumbass

  • @frolly1000 Who do you work for, BP?

  • Global Warming is happening. In fact, its worse than we've been told.Dont take my word for it:Look up at the sky, especially when temperatures go up/the skies are clear. You will see an onslaught of planes criss crossing the sky leaving long trails that slowly merge and turn into CLOUDs.Unofficially,This is called "chemtrailling":Officially, its called "Strategic aerosol geo engineering",and its being done WORLDWIDE to mitigate the effects of global warming by creating cloud cover/blocking the sun.

  • @mrbrianmccarthy Dumbass

  • @MrJivePirate WOW what a great rebuttal... regale us with your intellectual prowess some more.

  • @85Funkadelic Yeah,brilliant guy eh? Hey "MrJivePirate"---go fuck yourself.

  • @mrbrianmccarthy .. Global warming predicts an INCREASE in cloud cover, as a more energetic atmospheres leads to more precipitation..

  • @frolly1000 Al Gore is not a scientist so why do you deniers even mention him? Hansen's models in the 80s were dead on! You would know this if you did not listen to talk radio as a source of info. Hansen made 3 predictions one that included rapid rise CO2 no volcanoes (A), moderate rise one large volcano (B), one where we reduced CO2 (C)...(B) was dead on! The deniers use (A) as his only model to FOOL FOOLS like yourself who do not know how to confirm what they hear is true or not!

  • @frolly1000 That comment shows just how UTTERLY IGNORANT YOU ARE! It is obviously from your comment that you really do lack the capacity to understand the enormous amount of evidence that is out there for you to actually read if you could! Your infatuation with Al Gore shows how misguided you are...Are you aware he is NOT a scientist so why even mention him? Dr. Hansen is a very well respected scientist who's projections in the 80s have been proven CORRECT! Get an EDUCATION!

  • @frolly1000

Word games cute, you can bugger off now....

  • Chomsky is DEAD WRONG on the idea that Obama "gave away" Single Payer & that there was overwhelming support for it, there was not! Maybe 30% of the country is in favor of Single Payer...Keeping it real!!

  • Chomsky NAIL IT on Anthropogenic Climate Change!!!

  • @frolly1000 "CO2 is irrelevant" That just shows how UTTERLY IGNORANT you are! Yet you speak with such arrogance...And you might need to learn how to use spell check as well!

  • @Viracocha711

CO2 does seem to be rather irrelevant.

CO2 has typically lagged & peaked AFTER peak global warming periods.

Suggesting that CO2 is not that potent on Earth's global warming.

That CO2 has historically been a result of Global Warming rather than a cause of Global Warming

  • @MixedSpecieMixedRace

RE: '.. CO2 does seem to be rather irrelevant.'

It is relevant and yet how.

    Follow this thread:

    — 100 ÷ 115 Gt processed by the ocean (in the ocean CO2 cycle);

    — 100 ÷ 120 Gt processed by the woods,

    — and 29 Gt emitted by the TPPs and the Vehicles are not processed by anything (part of it taken by the ocean and part by the woods - but far less than enough).

And with every day and in any way this deficiency in back-processing of CO2 is increased .. driving along an exponent.

  • @U1T001

If CO2 was so relevent in our global warming why would CO2 historically typically lag behind peak temperatures?

suggesting CO2 has typically been a result of global warming not the cause.

  • @MixedSpecieMixedRace

RE: 'why would CO2 historically typically lag behind peak temperatures?'

What do you mean by 'historically'-maybe the mya diagram?

The CO2 that you are talking about is not coming from TPPs & Vehicles (but rather from the ocean and from the rocks). It is as a result of decentering of the natural carbon cycles, which was fixed by Nature by the extinction of species (thus decreasing the 'excessive' production of CO2 & restoring the thermodynamic & the biological equilibrium).

  • @U1T001

The point is that if the CO2 lagged temperatures historically this means that CO2 must not be that potent.

Or else CO2 would NEVER lag.

Because If the CO2 was so potent in causing global warming on Earth.

Then we should see the CO2 lag bounce temperatures up & thus NEVER lagging.

But, that is not the case.

    Earth is only 0.03% CO2

    vs 97% CO2 on Venus

Our main green house gas is Water vapor.

Our CO2 increases in recent years DO NOT MATCH the temperature increases.

  • @MixedSpecieMixedRace

    'CO2 lagged temps historically'

    1. It is another world (without TPPs and Vehicles).

    2. In the mya Diagram each point represents 1MLN years. The average values mask the real processes.

    3. In the period 380 ÷ 320 mya the CO2 is not lagging, but rather driving the decrease of the temp (reading the Diagrams is not an exercise in Confirmation Bias).

    'CO2 is only 0.03%'

A virus also weights 1 ÷2 femtograms, but no conclusion could be drawn that it is safe because it weights that.

  • @U1T001

graphs from the million yr range show how little CO2 has in common with TEMPS

If CO2 lagged that lag should have bought temps back up. But it didn't supporting CO2 didn't do much

  • @MixedSpecieMixedRace

The system in NOT CO2 & Temp (& Dinosaurs travelling in Time & Space). It is much more complex so looking for any correlation in the mya Diagram is pointless. Even if found a particular period of time with some pseudo-correlation there are a lot of other factors not taken into consideration.

CO2 is not the most important & the most abundant GHG -for this is H2O(vapour) BUT the arbitrary emission of CO2 of order of the natural CO2 cycles has highest class of irresponsibility

  • @U1T001 you are right.

water vapor is the main green house gas.

Why it is retarded when the scientists only focus on CO2

    Russian scientists know better

    West Europeans are so dumb

  • @MixedSpecieMixedRace STOP reading Professional Denialist websites...Then you need to go back & learn the difference between natural CO2 & CO2 that comes from burning fossil fuels. Good Luck!

  • @Viracocha711

If you look at the bigger picture.

Our temperature increases are pretty typical.

    Not alarming what so ever.

The amount of CO2 we have put up in the air in this past century does not match our temperature increases what so ever.

What does CO2 from natural or burned fossil fuels have to do with anything?

We were in the 0.03% CO2 range in the begining of the 20th century & still in the 0.03% CO2 range today.

  • @frolly1000 ....there is this really neat little concept called "research" it involves you looking it up for your self.... One might wonder what "heat seeking missiles" and "Climate change" have in common enough type it into a search engine..... but not you, you just stare at comment and go "duh?".....

Also feel free to check out the youtube channels of PotHoler54, GreenMan3610, and DPRjones for more and highly detailed(& verifiable) information on Climate Change

  • @frolly1000 3 words, "Heat Seeking Missiles"

  • I gotta say he is dead on about everything..... Anyone who says otherwise is more then welcome to prove it....

  • @BlitzNeko The burden of proof is on the people who are proposing something, not those who oppose it. This is fundamental of science and argumentation in general.

  • @MindlessGlitch Since Climate Change has been proven over and over what can one do if those that deny the facts, then refuse to accept whats happening over what pride? Stupidity? Because some armchair jockey is listening to AM radio believes that every scientist is in some global conspiracy? Or maybe they're just too lazy or possibility dumb to take the little bit of time to learn about the issues?? From(heaven forbid) a legit offline source...perhaps a University library.

  • @BlitzNeko I don't even disagree that climate change is happening. I just didn't like how unscientific your upvoted statement was phrased.

  • @BlitzNeko Libtards deny climate change because they want to promote their highly profitable and government subsidized green technology. It's the same reason the libtards and Jews are closed-minded about free energy devices. When someone attempts to patent one he's silenced by the Zionist government because he disproves Der Fuhrer, Albert Einstein.

  • @TexasFreedomFighter That has to be the stupidest thing I've heard all day... I'm not sure if your being sarcastic or insulting... But your might be from Texas, so there is a chance your serious.... which is just sad....

  • @TexasFreedomFighter First off what do Jews have to do with it and you said that government subsidized green technology is highly profitable. What about the highly profitable Carbon market

  • @MindlessGlitch And as I said go ahead, prove anything he is saying is wrong..... I dare you... I double dare you...

  • @BlitzNeko ... Yeap! And he said "we're marching over the cliff" like a bunch of Lemmings. Welcome 2012, we don't need aliens, meteors, earthquakes, we got ourselves.

  • @BlitzNeko I understand why people have been confused for soooo long... most of you may not be old enough to have seen how this global "something" has been presented differently over the decades since the 70's. It was called a coming mini ice age, global cooling, global warming and since Al Gores movie... it snow called Climate Change. The terms have become, less and less precise at decribing what is happening. Which is suspicious for something derived from supposed serious science.

  • @GeofsFilms The White House changed the wording on a document from Global Warming to Climate Change. The NYTimes discovered Phil Cooney(lawyer not scientist) was imported into the White House from American Petroleum lnstitute to CONTROL climate science. He REMOVED EVIDENCE and replaced with "Serious doubt about global warming" phrases in science reports. When the revelations were published he resigned and took up a post at EXXON (They are an OILY type business type fingy with NO bias lm sure)Peace

  • @Slave2PaperWithInkOn You should question, not just big oil companies... but also why politicians are interested in this topic. Why aren't they interested in physics, biology, astronomy, etc. ? Everyone smells the rot here except a few science buffs who think they understand the whole picture, when clearly the economic side is absolutly misunderstood, covert and probobly, in at least the short term, heavier in consequences to human lives.

  • @GeofsFilms Checked your channel and confused and probably got wrong end of stick. You DO believe that we pathetic DEBT SLAVES are the cause of the DEFINITE Destruction of OUR CHILDREN's HOME!? Or you do not?The economic side as you put it (ie-"money" created out of thin air) IS the cause of our Near future demise.Debt PLUS interest DEMANDS growth-which leads to the speeding up of resource depletion- which leads to...(anyway,fuck this shit, when's the game on my plasma TV?Only a few payments left)

  • @Slave2PaperWithInkOn I am not sure what you are getting at... talking about economics is fine but I was adressing the problem of money being tied in all sorts of ways, not just for a good cause, to how global warming is perceived by the mass's and how I suspect is the reason why this scientific topic has the attention of politicians when normally nothing scientific holds their interests. I think its very healthy to question scientific results and especially politicians interpreting results.

  • @GeofsFilms Oh hey look its this argument again.... Actually the terms have become more precise, not in terms of individual mechianism like global warming, desertification... But in the bigger picture of Climate Change(used since the 50s) as a whole...

As for your misconceptions about the sensationalism of poorly written Newsweek article and the role of politics with science, I'm going to refer you to the videos by youtube users GreenMan3610, Potholer54, and DPRJones...

  • @BlitzNeko Where you get to being sarcastic when saying "Climate Change" is a "more precise term" ? The earlier terms used to be more precise, then it became less and less so. Furthermore I don't know of many modern "sciences" who changed names of late, except this one. Since you didn't get what I was saying... I was talking about how its totally normal that people are still questionning the science because of the way and by whom, it was presented for 40+ years... a dismal failure.

  • @BlitzNeko Part 2: ... also when politicians start to meddle into something as respected as science... it doesn't help the image of the cause or the credibility of the message. The messenger himself being at worst a good liar and at best someone who stands to gain from what he is trying to sell. In this case carbon taxes... already implemented in Greece and other Euro countries. Which again doesn't help people to trust the process and should encourage people to ask questions.

  • @frolly1000

    ....not quite.... try again...

  • Last time i checked methane is a naturally occurring gas. The issue is human contribution to global warming--about .07% of all green-house gasses in the atmosphere can be traced back to human activity. I think Chomsky has become so cynical over his long career of flushing out bad guys he is loosing it on this very straight forward issue. Yes, people can be real pigs when it comes to the environment but the place is going to heat up or cool down inspite of us.

  • That was a very interesting comparison he made between health care in the US and Canada and the role that labor unions played. I've always wondered why so many people I know have such hostility directed against labor unions in the US. So often in labor disputes in the US I see people take the side of management and curse the unions.

  • @theawesomemanman Indeed it is. Fascism means coersive control of the 99%, socialism gives the 99% ultimate control over business and thus the business and ruling classes, which is why they dont like it, thus they spread lies about Lenin/Stalinist Russia and Nazi Germany being the inevitable product of socialism, using the businesses they control or influence, including mainstream media.

  • @raderator You are so wrong it's funny.

  • I hope Noam Chomsky never dies, he is such a gift to knowledge and clarity in this confusing world.

  • Here a Jew who is in love with his own voice. He claims to be a linguist but only engages in ad hominem . He like the nigger who thinks he has won an argument by declaring yo mamma fat.

  • @raderator the sooner people like yourself die off, the better for humanity.

  • Old Jew commie. Someday they will be gassed for real.

  • @raderator Implying they weren't in the first place.

  • @raderator

ageist, anti-semitic and holocaust denial in the same sentence. In just 10 words. impressive.

  • Yeah, right. Noam Chomsky is too America centric. If the U.S. collapses then it will take the rest of the planet with it? Hah. Wealth, and I mean actual material wealth is distributed all across the planet.

  • @theawesomemanman

    no it's redundant

  • To claim that the BP oil spill occurred because no drilling is allowed within 90 miles of the coast is a strawman argument. The spill was a result of negligence first and foremost. If there was drilling that was closer in, drillers would be cutting corners there. Just look at the mess the Koch brothers created in Crossett Arkansas that could have been readily avoided. That is a better e xample of the free market .

  • @beninmv

Also, the reason BP and the other companies are drilling further out to sea is that's where the oil is. They've already gotten to the oil closer to shore.

  • The two oceans buffering America preserved freedom but they also allowed a pig state to operate a phony free trade zone democracy...

  • There is no peak oil -it is ending since it was dicovered. All the peak oil is pure propaganda. "Sophisticated mathematical models" that show whatever u wish them to just as with MMGW. Do you know why BP spill happened? They could drill in 90 feet water near coast but US law says it's illegal so they drilled further but much deeper to the same deposit. Stupid? Yes. Free market fault? Hell no!

I am actually kind of sad that guy is dead. I would like him to debate Peter Shiff or Tom Woods.

  • Labour unions - haha. Definitely Tom Woods. He would dismantle ridiculous claims of this socialist one by one and it is possible since shmuck is alive isn't he :D

  • One more - he's talking about housing bubble and that allmost no economist predicted it.

WELL AUSTRIANS DID: RON PAUL, PETER SHIFF, TOM WOODS

Show me proof he did predict it. Show me.

  • @pipem4n

The Austrian economists are consistently wrong. And the idea that "almost no economists" predicted the housing bubble is laughable. It's simply that the banksters weren't interested in the predictions.

  • "Changing climate?" The climate always changes. It will always change. Carbon dioxide is of no importance. Chomsky says it is called a "liberal" hoax and lies through his teeth about the "98%." The critics call the hoax a trillionaire financial-interest hoax. The global warming hoax will deliberately kill untold millions.

  • @pkpapers "Carbon dioxide has no importance". Lol. You realize that the greenhouse effect is a well established scientific model? Without it the Earth's temperature would be considerably lower.

Earth's climate has indeed always changed, and so it does now. Why? The driving force of the climate changes has always been greenhosue gases (H20, C02, CH4...).

Now that we have increased the C02 amounts in our athmosphere, they caused a greenhouse effect once more.

  • @SternMann93

Today's conservatives hold the very idea of science in contempt.

  • @SternMann93 Not true the sun has much greater effect on temperature. Co2 does not cause climate change but rather it is a result of warming. Check it out at Piers Corbyn Weather Action.com

  • @MrLettuceguy That is mr Corbyns view. Most of the scientific community( 98% ) however agrees with the view I presented.

  • @SternMann93 That doesn't mean it is not true. Science isn't based on consensus my friend. We should all think critically even on what we think is true.

  • @MrLettuceguy Science IS based on the consensus of science-doers. That doesn't mean we are blind to other options. When and if a scientists brings evidence of another view it's studied and peer-reviewed by the others, and thus a new stance is adopted.

  • @SternMann93 A lot of scientists with opposing views on controversial issues such as global warming and aids are not allowed to publish their views. Is that what science is? NO! So in theory that is supposed to be the case but in reality it's not.

  • @MrLettuceguy YES, science is MOST CERTAINLY based on consensus! If science were not based on consensus then it would go no where! Stop repeating what you have been told to repeat by the professional denialist! You are being confused & used like a TOOL!

  • @MrLettuceguy You really don't know what you are talking about! Stop watching Denialist Movies & READ THE DAMN SCIENCE! You are being confused in order to be USED like a TOOL! THINK!! CO2 is a Greenhouse gas that traps heat & is the primary driver behind the rapid global warming. What you are talking about has no relevance on the current warming as CO2 was stable for the past 10,000yrs until roughly 150yrs ago when we began burning fossil fuels! Pay attention to the SCIENTIST!!

  • @SternMann93 god I hear that fucking rtard argument that the climate has changed before. its like saying 2+2 is the only way to get the answer 4

  • JT M.Eng nature has done nuclear fusion from regular water for 3.8 billion years. There has been no increase in atmospheric carbon dioxide for 200 years. Instead an increase in life on earth.

  • The climate is ALWAYS changing and will continue to change long after we're gone.

  • @p0llenp0ny thats why the climatchange that is a problem should be reefeerd to its real name, antrophogenic global warming. = caused by activities of homo sapiens

  • @IvarNordman So we're causing the warming on all the other planets in the solar system as well? What bastards we are.

  • @p0llenp0ny Other planets are very poor solar sensors. From the actual solar irradiance measuring satellites that we have in orbit we can tell that the sun has remained pretty much constant and has actually declined slightly in output over the last 30 years or so. Other planets climate systems work differently, for instance on mars climate variations are driven by massive planetwide dust storms, something that doesn't exist on Earth.

  • @nn123654 Would explain the record cold winters we've been getting here. And snow in Badhdad, wouldn't it?

  • @p0llenp0ny no not really, if you look at global temperatures and not just the temps outside your house you'd see that 2000-2010 was the warmest decade in the instrumental temp record.

  • The extra carbon released by man kind increases life on earth. But there has been no increase of carbon dioxide in the air, so no effect on the weather possible. No climate change. That is nuclear fiction

  • @JonThm It's so easy to tell you're full of shit if you think there is a miracle cure for both Cancer and AIDS respectively, Nuclear fiction? What the fuck are you talking about? I actually died a little bit inside when I saw the horrific display of pseudoscience displayed on your page.

  • @TheAsymmetrical I love to see you AGW proponents froth like that. You all seem to resorting to swearing and ad homs whenever someone disrespects your cult. It's cute.

  • @p0llenp0ny I don't actually care, the rules of argumentation do not apply when dealing with self righteous conspiracy theorists who will take anything at face value as true. Such as you, who seems to push the idea that other planets are warming in the solar system without knowing about Orbital eccentricity of planets, not distinguishing between global and regional warming and a lot of other factors involved in the warming of a few planets in the Solar System. cont.

  • A billion dlls would be worthless in the future, millionaires and billionaires should start thinking in their own grandchildren and the consequences of the predatory use of natural resources. I don't want the next generation to curse my generation for what they're doing now.

  • People, play nice in here! Constantly using ad hominem arguments and plain old insults won't help win over your opponent, it won't make them think you are smart, and it won't make them think you are cool for using a creative way of insulting them. If you verbally attack your opponent in an argument, it will only make them shut off to you and they won't care what you have to say from then on. Once a debate digresses into poo throwing, you have lost the chance of having a winner of the debate.

  • Plants metabolise carbon dioxide into life on earth

  • @JonThm I see you also have a degree in Biology. You don't seem aware of the carbon and oxygenr cycles. When the biotic oil and natural gases are processed, these gases are incompletely burned with methane, CO2 and other gases escaping into the atmosphere. Both of these cycles shift. The price for this is LESS free oxygen. That is what animals-including us-use for life. The future will have many plants and not many animals. BTW, where did you get your degree?

  • Great piece, thanks for posting! Chomsky rules.

Gotta love the gutter-snipe comments below, as well. "This guy has never 'worked' for a living other than give speeches and leech off taxpayers all his life." Oh yes... PLEASE, share with us all YOUR accomplishments, dear comment poster. We're just dying to hear about them.

  • @hihellohowareyou1000

NAZIs were the "Socialist Workers' Party", you hockey puck ! Yes, NAZIs were atheistic, fascistic socialists, just like you, you deranged little retard.

Now go bash corporations while you sip your 6-dollar coffees as you complain about capitalism on your $2000 Apple laptop.

Nice try, you paranoid, smelly scum. Now go mooch some more off the taxpayers, you good-for-nothing maggot.

  • Look outside the quasi-science of AGW and see the $, the politics, the green energy agenda, oil manipulation ... Logic says, if an hypothesis is correct, then there would be no test that could be demonstrated by which it could be proved false. A correct and complete scientific hypothesis would be in principle falsifiable, i.e. it must rule out some phenomena from happening. This AGW is full of holes. Magnetic Pole Inversion (weakening of Cosmic Radiation protection) isn't even considered.

  • @hihellohowareyou1000

What a predictably brain-dead and utterly mindless liberal you have shown yourself to be. Your abject stupidity is completely reflective of all the sucky, starry-eyed acolytes who get swept away by an intellectual parking meter like Chomsky.

If it wasn't for all his 18- and 19-year old ass-kissers who fawn all over this tool, Chomsky would have no following whatsoever. This guy has never "worked" for a living other than give speeches and leech off taxpayers all his life.

  • What an old, airheaded fossil !

This turd makes Pelosi look smart.

  • I like how he talks about the institutionalization of calling climate change a 'liberal hoax' yet ignores the possibility that perhaps the scientific community could be institutionalizing the same thing as well without have all of the evidence. The truth is - WE DON'T HAVE THE SLIGHTEST CLUE HOW BIG OF A DEAL IT IS YET.

  • The name Chomsky used to mean something. No longer the case. Chomsky does not understand the debate on CO2 and global warming, and is presenting lies in the first part of this video. After this he presents a bunch of other examples that has nothing whatsoever to do with CO2 and warming.

  • @darkhairedguy "Chomsky does not understand the debate on CO2 and global warming, and is presenting lies in the first part of this video."

Yeah, because the religion you follow has made it a creed.

  • "DRAMATIC forecasts of global warming resulting from a doubling of atmospheric carbon dioxide have been exaggerated, according to a peer-reviewed study by a team of international researchers". Science Journal 25/11/11 ... Their own people can't even agree on the postulations of Temperature predictions - but lets just use this as a mandate to politically enforce energy restrictions!!! but lets use this to TAX Carbon and 'adversely affect' climate change.... it is all pseudo-science bollocks.

  • @evilstoo MORON

  • @StunnedByStupidity thank you - happy to be - compared to what your kind are going to do to the world. Put your head back in the sand and let the UN / CFR turn the world into a Federation Global Government on the back of some fear mongering climate science bogus agenda. If you really give a shit about the fossil fuel carbon emission problem - alter your life - use less energy, buy less oil related products, how does raising prices that affect the poor and NOT the rich alter the weather tomorrow?

  • @evilstoo Go get a new tin foil hat - and GET HELP - you LUNATIC... I have a suggestion - likely BILLIONS are gona die from it - if you are wrong you will sign a form saying if there are food shortages that kill people that you volunteer to be the first to die? Yeah you are fucking TYPICAL - as long as OTHERS suffer that's fine - but if you have to make TINY lifestyle choices then you start screaming your childish tinfoil hatted tits off... GET HELP - you pig ignorant buffoon...

  • @StunnedByStupidity HA HA HA... nice ranting venom diatribe, all it does is show your misconduct and inability to debate a topic without turning to malicious hate, like all your kind. the science on AGW is so loose in no way should governments have a mandate based on it - it is being manipulated by Banksters and Corporations to create their 'green energy' global resources rape of third world countries economies, designing them into perpetual debt, an AGW tax is in no way pollution solution.

  • @evilstoo YOU ARE CLINICALLY INSANE...

  • DRAMATIC forecasts of global warming resulting from a doubling of atmospheric carbon dioxide have been exaggerated, according to a peer-reviewed study by a team of international researchers. In the study, published today (25/11/11) in the leading journal 'Science', the researchers found that while rising levels of CO2 would cause climate change, the most severe predictions - some of which were adopted by the UN's peak climate body in its seminal 2007 report - had been significantly overstated.

  • "Now these very large changes (predicted for the coming decades) can be ruled out, and we have some room to breathe and time to figure out solutions to the problem," the study's lead author, Andreas Schmittner, an associate professor at Oregon State University, said. However, he cautioned that extreme climate change could still occur in some areas. (Science,25/11/11) HA HA HA! There you go ... "SOME AREAS" !!!!! Peer Reviewed!

  • @evilstoo WTF? Have you EVER read ANY science? And YOU ARE MAKING MY POINT - global warming is MAN MADE. So, before the last few hours there was NO evidence that you could offer. Now the ONLY source you have is FAR RIGHT WING SUMMATION of a piece NOT YET ON GENERAL RELEASE... Hmmmm. When pray tell was CO2 levels last at this level? And what was the temperature? See you have now to explain palaeoclimatology - and this is gona come out VERY bad for you...

  • @StunnedByStupidity HA HA HA... PEER REVIEWED.... Accept it - there is a debate!

  • @evilstoo FUCKING HELL - you are stunningly stupid... The quote DOES NOT EXIST. The issue of science just released has an article on global warming but ONE WHICH SAYS THINGS ARE EVEN WORSE THAN EXPECTED... You lot are off map stupid. The sources for your quotes ARE RUPERT MURDOCH and climate deniers. Now, what caused the paleocene eocene thermal maximum...

  • Well we are starting to see thru the 'clouds' of political psuedo-science to the real science - this PROVES IPCC EXAGGERATED ... The Hypothesis is just that... an Hypothesis... but lets TAX Carbon and adversely affect climate change.... bollocks.

  • @evilstoo So a report that says things are WAY worse than expected proves that you are right? You are out of your fucking tree INSANE. A quote from the report:

    'The

effects are both more serious and more imminent and will have disastrous consequences for everything from the

basic safety of the world’s poorest populations to the security of energy and food resources to the stability of the

global economy. In the last year, we have seen that even the most conservative predictions for climate

  • @StunnedByStupidity change

paint a picture far more grim and devastating to the world’s vital systems -- and all within a shorter timeframe --

than even the most extreme predictions of just a few years ago.

    GET FUCKING HELP MORON...

Now google '4 degrees hotter: an adaptation trap?' and wake the FUCK up...

  • @StunnedByStupidity Have FINALLY tracked the quote down. Its from the 'climate gate' emails NOT FROM FUCKING SCIENCE - you fucking disingenuous scum bag - the emails are 2 fucking YEARS old - the report I tracked down IS from 25th November Science magazine and TRASHES your entire position... There aren't words to explain how unbelievably stupid you are....

  • @StunnedByStupidity "The new models predict that given a doubling in CO2 levels from pre-industrial levels, the Earth's surface temperatures will rise by 1.7 to 2.6 degrees C. That is a much tighter range than suggested by the IPCC's 2007 report, which suggested a rise of between 2 to 4.5 degrees C. The new analysis also reduces the expected average surface temperatures to just over 2 degrees C, from 3." Science Journal 25/11/11 ... SERIOUSLY they can't even agree on their own 'speculations'!

  • Well we are starting to see thru the 'clouds' of political psuedo-science consensus to the real science - a debatable prediction - this PROVES IPCC EXAGGERATED about Temperature rise due to AGW ... Their Hypothesis is just that... an Hypothesis... Their own people can't even agree on the postulations of Temperature predictions - but lets just use this as a mandate to politically enforce energy restrictions!!! but lets TAX Carbon and adversely affect climate change.... it is all bollocks.

  • Who is this cunt? Does he have Downs? He sounds like he does. Globull warming mong mong mong.
