Well first of all this is far from European. Its Venezuelan, the name of the song kinda gives that away. And second, Antonio Lauro was a (male) musician and composer from Venezuela.

@121086P Thank you for the response:) Anna is a great player as are many of her contemporaries on the classical guitar, but I feel many that many pieces by South American composers such as Lauro, Piazzolla, Diaz, Villa-Lobos, Brouwer, and even Barrios call for more of a "folk-influenced south american" interpretation. That's what I meant by "hot-sauce." Piazzolla should sound like a tango and a choro should sound like a choro, not like a Tarrega piece. Check out Alirio Diaz playing..

Excelent performance, I really felt the VENEZUELAN soul inside the music. Good tempo, nice start slow and soft. My only comment will be not to play both at the same time trying to make tempo different one from another. Natalia deserves a more patience performance than Andreina. But please don't take it bad the performance was EXCELENT!!! THANKS!

She is certainly one of the greatest contemporary guitarists but I have been waiting for years to hear her perform something else, besides Bach, Ponce and Torroba. She plays these pieces very gracefully but with little (not typical) technical difficulties.

Apparently, Alirio Diaz was THE PERFORMER for Lauro's music.
