Wow....I have had my babytrend carseat for a while and was just checking around to make sure I had it installed correctly and after seeing this, I'm DEFINITELY going to go take a look and make sure everything is good to go before I stick C in it again. Thanks for doing this video. :)
@MEXIGRL579 The best seat would be the middle if you can. And the latch anchors should be located in the center... but if you can't find them just check the owners manual of your car.
Thank you for posting this. I spent over an hour calling to police, fire, and hospital departments trying to find someone certified to install the seat for my baby due in just over a week. The level of frustration from that in my emotional state was overwhelming until someone at the hospital finally explained to me how this is done. Watching your video put a visual to everything she explained. Manufacturers should start including installation videos or a website link with purchase.
@dlynne73 I am so so happy that my video was of help to you. I am not a installation specialist or anything but I have done it so many times now (and had it inspected each time) that the installation specialist told me that I know what I am doing and that I don't need to come back for an inspection anymore. And I agree... videos would be helpful !
@InformationMommy - When you really think about it, there is no excuse for them not doing that. Technology has so many options. Whatever company does it first would likely increase sales tremendously, just for being a relief to new parents who already have enough to deal with.
thanks for putting up the video. I have the same seat but can't get it to work properly in my jeep commander. When i tighten the straps as far as they'll go the base still moves around too much. It seems that the anchors are too far forward and the latch pieces are to long to effectively tighten it down. Any suggestions?
@dubinky are you pushing in the base while you are tightening the straps? That seems like a weird problem. Are all of the latch peices the same in all of the seats? I would maybe look online to see where this is a place you can get your car seat checked. They may have some other suggestions for you
Great video! Better than the included instructions. Thanks from a new Dad!
