  • Why doesn't my corn grow well in a grow box like yours???

  • this is the first time ive seen one of your videos, but definitely not the last!

Great advice, great presentation... I was looking for something like this that actually SHOWS the steps not just explain them. well done.

  • wow. you really know your onions.

  • Good stuff GG

  • Nice demo. Thanks.

  • i like ur garden thx 4 sharing.

  • ooops i planted mine in a whole thing D:

  • v helpful

  • thanks, this helped :)

  • Where is your accent from? I thinking Australian? Am I am right? Nice garden. I am getting my now started. Bad Utah Northern weather so makes it hard for us. I just planted two rows of onions (red onions)>Last years onions did not grow well. What must I do to make them grow? My neighbor put her's in the same time as mine. Hers are growing now this year. Does an onion take 2 years to grow? Or is it just our weather condition?

  • Great vid, well presented and very useful, thanks.

  • Thank you for this video, I just transplanted my onions. I just uploaded it and I think I did it very similar to what you did. I sure hope they're as easy to grow as it looks!

lol I tried not to plant them too deep. My garlic that I planted last fall is very happy. so hopefully the onions will be too! :-)

  • Onions are invaluable.

  • What is your climate that you can grow in winter???

  • Respond to this video... We are in the sub-tropics

  • @KallyJones

    I'm guessing this is Australia.

  • great tips, I'm sure you are going to have a bountiful harvest :)

  • Phil,

    Great presentation here

I have a garden of about 4Thsq feet. Have had great luck with onions so far. Last yr averaged 3lbs each. I grow as organic as I can. Main fertilizer,fish/powdered seaweed.I wish to use a multitude of onions to help repel bugs in lieu of chem. Can I simply sow onion seed in a hap~hazard way and expect a happy result. Buying so many seedlings would be rather expensive, seeds are cheaper. My garden is in Newfoundland. Last frost, mid June. first, maybe early/mid Oct.

  • It takes Ph 6 months to change doesn't it? I believe so.

  • hmm, too much nitrogen for onions. Didn't know that. I guess I'll back track on the fertilizer. Thanks for tip.

  • I like onions.

  • yeah dude you do have a badass garden! I left an onion in the bag on my counter for a while and its got long green tusk like growth out of the top, i want to grow it so i put it in a jar with some water to help develop some roots. after it has roots do i just plant it in the ground?

  • @RipvanBongBowl420 Sure thing Ripvan. Give it a try. Growing it on like that may increase the size of the bulb.

  • I'll have to enjoy this virtual garden since I don't have my garden anymore. I miss the smell of the fresh earth when you pull up the vegetables. Thanks for sharing your beautiful garden! Wishing you good luck.

  • Pulling out corn plants is probably my least favorite thing to do. Spring onions are definitely my favorite onion though. :)

  • Mate, your garden is f#@king awesome.

  • Thanks! How long do they take to mature?

  • @Mssuperfly5000 They will take around 6-8 months, early summer for war climates, mid summer for cold. They are ready when the tops die down. Spring onions, you can harvest them whenever you like.
