first of all mewtwo was supposed to be in 64 but got delayed appeared in melee and was scheduled to appear in brawl but what happpend was that someone hacked the files for mewtwo ( i think ) and cloned him to lucario so lucario is a clone

As for the whole Mewtwo vs Lucario thing, I honestly prefer Lucario. The two characters are hardly different outside of Mewtwo being a heavyweight and Lucario being a middleweight. I personally prefer Mewtwo in the Pocket Monsters games, and he IS stronger than Lucario in them, but I prefer lighter characters in Super Smash Brothers.

look at it this way, in melee, mewtwo wasn't NEARLY as powerful as he actually is, because if he was as powerful as he could be, he would overpower the rest of the cast, which is why its unlikely for him to make another appearance. theres a better chance of a pokemon like zoroark being the next mewtwo since hes from the most recent region

Why should anybody be replaced? Lucario had his own moveset separate from M2, so he shouldn't have replaced him in the first place, but why should Nintendo make the same mistake twice by removing characters and ultimately pissing off the people who actually used them? Plus, it's not really fair to say that M2 is better than Lucario, or vice versa, because veterans in Brawl play differently than they did in Melee, Since Mewtwo wasn't in Brawl, and Lucario wasn't in Melee, it's not fair to judge.

In adding more characters to other series as well...the max limit of only 4 characters would be pretty much the same for every series. But, Mario, Pokemon, and Zelda, etc. deserve to have more...so just have both. ;p
