If American kids spend the same amount of time they spend on playing sports on playing piano, they can be just as good. It basically requires a lot of boring practices.
I dont think she is that good. There are better vids of this piece on YouTube. Children (Asian or otherwise) should not be expected to have same grace or emotion as adults. They cant express deep emotions of life they have yet to live. Not to mention their physical development isnt there yet. (Which might explain why few children play Liszt.)
dun be racist. if you work hard, anything is possible. Their parents work them because their parents have talent to work them to death (llike what you said) a.k.a asains have talent, BTW i'm a singaporean, so we understand we asians are kiasu, but dun a racist
why do all these asian parents make their kids do these rediculous head and hand movements while they play? it cant be that all these asian prodigies just DO that.
@JamesIsDumbAlot I'm guessing your James. Lol. It's called showing emotion in the music, expressing passion. Majority of the time it comes naturally, you just know how to move your body to the music. Kind of like dancing....
haha its definatly not a harpsichord lololol. they sound totaly dif to painos, and yea it looks life a very nice piano...its a steinway so probz worth at least 200k
@Dragoon0515 Don't you realize that the root of racism lies in racial pride? You may not be "racist" but your comment is. Why not say, "child pianists rock!"? Or "humans rock!"?

so what, i bet she has 0 creativity. she just memorize it but doesnt play with the heart. that sucks, that's NOT ART. i've never heard of an asian child that COMPOSE at age of what? 6?...
So, do you not like Asian children playing piano, or just children in general? Just because you haven't heard of it doesn't mean it isn't real. She might have 10 times more creativity than you or me, but we can't just tell that from her playing a complicated piece of music on the piano. I don't respect your bet at all. Of course, there are lot of rude Korean parents force their children to play for fame but they mostly fail. To reach up her level, it requires her own passion and philos. Of course that might leads by parent who love their own child. So as Sarah Chang's mom leads Sarah fell into Violin, I assume A In's parent did so. I bet you never have experience to raise child successfully.... Whatever you said, she is amazing.
o really... and Tiger Woods dad... who had him play golf since he was 2 years old... how bout that? Michael jacksons Dad.. who had michael singing and dancing since he was able to walk... The Williams Sisters.. their father is their trainer manager since 4.. everyone great.. had someone (parents or not) who pushed them hard.. but juss becuase parents or someone pushes u hard dosent mean u have talent... but i think a lot of parents falsely believes their kids are talented.
Beautifully played. My niece is about the same age as you. Well done. I agree with AzzioBreezonator. Not much of these children are really prodigies but only children who are forced to learn at an early age. I, myself was forced to learn at an early age and at a result, my father forced me to complete 8th grade when I was 11. However, these Asian children will benefit from it as I have (I'm a piano teacher now).
i don't think its fair, both on people like me who feel the sense of "nobody cares or notices me" and people like you saying "its my life, so why are you leading it for me?!". Music should NOT be forced.
