  • Joe is absolutely at the top of my list of great jazz guitarists. His taste and musicality are outstanding not to mention his guitar technique.

    Chuck Anderson

  • Saw Joe a couple of times in Vegas in a small club with a drummer and bass player. Incredible. He teach jazz guitar at U.N.L.V. A great friend and even better guitar player took me with him, his name is Buzz Evans. Check him out on this site.

  • I just LOOOOOOVE this melody!!! Lost count of how many times I have watched the movie. Thanks for posting it, his rendition is magnificent!

  • Great Joe I remember the first time I saw you in Las Vegas. I was so impressed. I hope you remember me also. you sound so good. a great musician.. A big hug from Chile Hernán Morales.

  • this man is my mentor. I am blessed to have him in my life

  • Couldn't agree more. One of the absolute best unknown (at least in the mainstream) jazz guitarists. Will put more footage on in the near future.

  • My late father Bill Rogers, who arranged and conducted the Frank Sinatra Orchestra and did the Jerry Lewis Telethon arrangements for 20 years among other huge things in Vegas LOVED this man's playing for obvious reasons. Goe Joe!!

  • jazz genius...he plays more than perfekt....bow

  • Joe Lano is the epitomy of a professional jazz guitarist and a first rate gentleman. When I lived in Vegas, I used to go hear Joe every chance I got. I'm sure I saw the ghosts of Sinatra, Joe Sgro, Dennis Sandole, Charlie Parker all around him when he played.

    Joe- you're the best.

PS. You make great spaghetti gravey, too!

  • I had the pleasure of studying with Joe at UNLV. The best teacher I ever had. The way he teaches chord melody, is the way I teach today. Funny story: He showed me a picking exercise once, I and mentioned that I was learned of it from one of Jimmy Brunos books. He said: "I taught Jimmy when he was a teenager" I couldn't believe it. You can hear Joe in Jimmys playing.

  • @jberretta2000

    yes he did. MaGNIFICENT PLAYER

  • One of the best jazz guitarists on the planet.

  • Absolutely full of class. Thanks for the video
