  • wow I hope this wasn't a tool to teach differentiated instruction. All you showed were kids walking around and not explaining what was really going on.

  • Often times children are just not motivated by the materials or the individual that is presents them to them. Learning has become a stress induced experience for lots of children. Because some of us don't understand that there are different learning styles. Providing good differential learning materials that allow a child to feel relaxed helps eliminate anxiety, increases confidence and fosters spontaneous learning. Most important is self confidence and harsh judgment destroys it. HipHop-Edu

  • the problem with school is it's impersonal. you should have the same teacher for every class, find a topic of science or history, ethics whatever, as long as the teacher feels passionate about it the kids will to (passion invokes emotion, and emotion is closely linked to memory in the brain). once they're passionate, use the topic as the focal point to explain why math, english, etc. are important tools to fully understand the topic and for there opinion to be taken seriously in the real world.

  • Okay, I can see clearly this is a differentiated instruction. Let's see how you carry out a differentiated instruction that is not based on group work.

  • I would like your permission to show this at a workshp I am putting on for teachers on differentiated instruction. Can you send me a copy of it please

  • The beginning segment showing the "traditional" method is an effective juxtaposition to really SEE the practical side of differentiated instruction. Thank you for sharing this. Keep on keeping on for the learners!

  • Glad to see that some Education school is teaching about this, and obviously, the students chose to reflect their learning without pen and paper... If you are curious, dig into more writings by Carol Ann Tomlinson. Lots of practical stuff, not just theoretical gobbledygook.
