  • I don't think any one that saw this video has ever seen a 2 stage auger propelled snow thrower. The rear wheels are skinny like that because they are not drive wheels they are only there to support the machine. I can tell you that this snow thrower has got to be the easiest one to work on it takes not even 5 minutes to change the auger belt.

  • I love these snowblowers. Very easy to work on.

  • is that a Ariens ST5+2 ? i guess i have the same snow blower, too.

  • Off the top of my mind I dont know. I know it has a 5HP Tecumseh. Currently in storage. It's a great blower though I like it a lot. Plenty of power for its size. I also like the high weels.

  • how does this thing get any traction with thoes wheels? i got a bolens with huge tires with chains and they slip sometimes

  • I actually like these wheels a lot.

  • i have a craftsman 5hp 24" track snow blower. its a real good one to have around and i love Tecumseh's. nice engines for me. the ones that fit me are where the muffler is curved like yours..my favs. although i have this one other snow blower with this Honda engine (similar) 2 stage but has no name on it. i have no clue what it is but maybe a Giovanni. should i sell the track or this snow blower??

  • Honda engines=Great but hard to work on. I like old Tecumseh's at least 8 years old or so but otherwise I think they're junk.

  • doesn't craftsman have the same models like this one??

  • Not very good quality.

  • 5/5 stars :) nice video

  • Thanks.

  • Will you be using this snow blower this winter or do you have another?About how low does the temperature dip where you live?

  • Yes I w ill be using this snowblower this winter along with my single stage MTD and my 2 Stage very powerful MTD. I might be seeling the two MTD's and getting a new areins. As soon as the snow flies everyone will sell out and ill be able to sell the blowers at high prices. I havent decided yet but I sure love the quality in this ariens snowblower.

  • Forgot to ask,But I was wondering does this snow blower have one belt or two?I bet this one can throw the snow pretty far too.

  • This is a great snowblower. I'm pretty sure it has one belt.

  • that's a nice snow blower you have !

  • Thanks.

  • yep no problem

  • Hi,Just wondering do you have lots of snow winter time where you live?

  • PM me for location I get approx 4-5" per time sometimes more usualy I get like 1' per 2 weeks or so.

  • Nice looking machine,sounds great.

  • Yeah for a Tecumseh it runs GREAT!!! I like Honda way better but i'm suprised how well it does!

  • Thank you.

    Peace

  • I realy don't like tecumsehs but they are great on snowblowers

  • I hate Tecumseh's this is the only one thats held up for me!

    Peace

    -Stlouissux9119

  • That's an interesting snowblower you have there

  • Lol thats what everyone says but I really like it.

    Peace

    -Stlouissux9119

  • It is, I have a 4x4 Mastercraft snowblower. Runs good but too many electrical failures

  • Thats why I love ariens. They are simple to work on and very rarely fail. The only downside of this one is it has a Tecumseh but for the 14 Years I have had it its a great running machine!

    Peace

    -Stlouissux9119

  • tecumsehs are sound engines

  • Lol not in my opinion. This is my only tecumseh that I actually like. My 4.5 is a complete piece of crap lol. It is hard to start and always comes up with a difficult issue.

    Peace

    -Stlouissux9119

  • never had problems with my 4.5. Just my 5.0

  • What is your 4.5 on?

    Peace

    -Stlouissux9119

  • 1999 lawnboy 10260

  • people up north are my kind of people. not enough people down here in georgia are into engines

  • Lol im not that far up north but I love the weather here. Lots of snow in the winter and lots of mowing in the summer. Fall= Leaf pickup Spring= No money but 1 season is not that bad for not making money.

    Peace

  • turn the choke off before you foul the plug

  • I know.

    Peace

    -Stlouissux9119

  • nice snow blower.

  • Thanks!

    Peace

    -Stlouissux9119

  • wtf is up with the wheels

  • LOL So many people say that. The Ariens line only used it for 1-2 Years and in my preferance they are the best wheels possible for this snowblower. On a bigger model they would just spin but on this model with only a small 5 HP Tecumseh its a great fit. I love it!

    Peace

    -Stlouissux9119

  • nice snowblower, sounds good too

    5 stars.

  • Thanks! It is a great blower!

  • yeah iv got a tecumseh on my snowblower

  • I find the older tecumseh's are good but the newers are crap. This techumseh is great but my 4.5 Hp MTD (1999) is crap! I would never buy a techumseh again!

    Peace

    5 Stars

    -Stlouissux9119

  • Why the heck did i say 5 stars? lol

  • I never seen one with wheels like that before.

  • Thats what everyone says.... Yet I love these wheels more than anything!

  • tear this thing apart and youll be flying on that bike

  • Lol I love my ariens!!

  • youll love your bike more dude

  • hey man, sorry the pathetic ATFers have brought it to this point, but what id do is

    -Disable the thumbs down thing

-make a post on RNP asking people to rate up your video.

  • who is puttin thumbs down on these comments oh wait i no! sorry man that these people are bothering u

  • Ya i no nothin about this stuff, but i thot the vid was funny in silence.

  • Looks good. Good thing that blower is small, those skinny wheels would do nothing but spin on a larger system. But for the size, it looks like a nice, little, good running machine.

  • Its Power proppeled.

  • I like it lil blower thing as well hah so are u like 15 and already own all this and no how to fix it dang better than I could ever do

  • Thanks, lol

  • what i mean is, is that you got a tecumseh engine right there. it probably a model earlyer then the 80's. any thing before that is better if it where tecumseh. i seems fine now but in time that engine will cost you hundreds of dollars in repairs and still wont work. i say this is because the carbs on those things are bad. they are lower then the engine which makes it harder for air and gas to reach the engine. yiu should get a briggs & stratton engine or honda. they usually never give you probs.

  • The techumseh is holding up great. This model is approx. 12 years old. It seems to be doing me great... In fact all ive ever had to do is change the oil. Never even cleaned the carb... Gonna do that this summer but Idk this techumseh seems great to me... On the other hand my 4.5HP 21" MTD techumseh... SUCKS im always dealing with that and thats a 1999

  • Also I work on the equip myself

  • yeah me too, im 13. check out my channel. i got some vids on my eqiupment too. how old r u . 13? 14?

  • Yes I know I just forgot to shut it off. Thanks for the reminder. The techumseh engine has served me very well requiring only regular maintence and the ariens frame has been good to me. I love the NO PLASTIC design. The only other problem I have had with it is having to replace the housing because I hit a piece of flagstone (Oops that cost me 350 and I put it on myself)

Well any questions ask and check out the channel

    -Stlouissux

  • cool, bad engine though. ive never seen wheels on a snowbloewr like those before! cool!

  • Bad engine? I dont know what your talking about this 5 HP techumseh engine has served me very well only requiring regular maintence and its the right size for this machine. The wheels are nice (Plastic so you dont need to worry about leaks/air fills) and the big size really makes it easy to manuver.

Check out the channel and if you have any questions feel free to ask.

    -Stlouissux

  • Yeah but those big skinny plastic wheels must do nothing then spining in the snow but they look cool though and yeah Tecumseh are good engines as long you take care of them, many people don't know that for some reason I have a 1993 Tecumseh 3.5 HP lawn mower with really really high hours on it and it runs like new.

  • No actually those wheels are the best. They have great traction, easy to manuever (hence the size of them), and you never need to fill them up. There awsome!

  • Did they come with that blower or you're the one who putted them on after?

  • Came with it... I love the snowblower it requires very little maintence (Just carb cleaning, oil changes, and fresh gas)

  • cool!
