Lovely story! The fact that the Full Bucket Line is shared with UP,WP, and "Espee" seems like a real life reference to how Western Pacific, Union Pacific, and Southern Pacific shared the overland route.

P.S. Brad wasn't too far off about SP's fate. SP was nearly bankrupt when it was merged into UP in 1996! :o What a sad fate for the Golden Empire.

Mr McDonald is the the President of the entire SP railway between 1932-1941 and he was the one that thought of the idea of making the coast daylight. And the its Mr Iverson! He only controls the SP engines on the full bucket line. Not the entire railroad.
