  • I'm 3 months pregnant with twins and out of all those things you said I have to say a hysterectomy was the least of my worries! lol I clung to blood clots because those things are no joke. I'll be almost 28 when my babies are born and my husband is 32, I highly seriously doubt that we'll want anymore. I mean 2 is enough for us to take care of and pay for. I just don't think I'll want anymore.

  • why cant you have them naturally? i had gestational diabetes and had my son vaginally

  • @eri9390 twin pregnancy often ends up with C-section because of more complicated delivery

  • Hi Sarah (: Just wanted to wish you all the best with your csection .. I think everyone has posted really good info in your comments. You have risks no matter how you deliver, so that's the biggest thing to keep in mind. I've had 3 sections, they were all fine. My second one I had placenta previa with and I was bleeding so much and had so much complications but the doctors did great. They saved my uterus, the only complication I had was after my 3rd section I got an infection in the incision, w

  • I had a c-section and the pain is no joke. All women are different. My SIL had 2 and she had a very easy recovery. Me.. I felt like I was cut with a chain saw. I was not perpared for the pain at all. You're going to need help for the first week getting up and down. Make sure you arrange this, trying to take care of a child when you're in this kind of pain is hard. But I didnt have any complications. Just remember its the #1 surgery done in the US.

    You'll do fine!

  • I remember being told all of the risks about five min. Before i was taken to have my csection. Try not to think about the risks sweetie and have faith that everything will be okay. I had to hear all of the risks when i had my 2nd son vbac and that was scary too but everything turned out wonderful in both cases.

  • May God be with your doctor and protect you and your babies Sarah! May prayers will be with you all on that day.

  • because of my c-section i was terrified that they had gone wrong and kept thinking what if i cant have my own baby (1st pregnancy was surrogate pregnancy) what if they had done something to my uterus without me knowing, bt everythings fine and im know nearly 18 weeks pregnant with my own baby, stuff can go wrong with a c-section but i think the happy stories are more then the stories of stuff going wrong

  • hey i just want to say, that its normal them going through the risks when i had my emergency c-section beforehand i had to sign a form and hear all the risks of what could happen because of it. i had a blood transfusion but it wasnt because of the c-section it was because the hospital messed up and kept pumping fluid into me which lowered my iron count so i needed 3 bags of blood. the hysterocitmy can happen sadly i know a few woman who it happened to comment contiuned

  • I had a emergency c section with Gabe.... Im having repeat with Blake... I think it gets to you more the more you think about it..Im more worried about something going wrong and he not being there for the boys then anything else. Im going to be 27 and Blake is my 2nd and last...so I am having my tubes tied....try not to stess about it hun...

  • I hope hope everything goes well.

  • A friend of mine actually had her bladder nicked when she had her c section, but everything turned out fine.

  • I had a crash emergency section so I didn't have the time to worry about those risks or I'd freaked out too! However, since you ARE having the section...when they tell you to cough afterwards---let me tell you it hurts like total HELL...but DO IT! Once you know WHEN let us know; we'll bathe you and your team of physician's in prayer. They are professionals and there's no doubt this will go as smoothly as they can make it go!!!! You're loved! ~H

  • You know whats scary????? This music on here! Ahhhhhhh! It made my heart pound times a million!!! SHeeeesh! You did this on purpose! LOL

I Hope it goes SO well for you! The fear of things is sometimes worse than the actual thing.....but in this case, Holy crap! UGH! Big hugs!!!! Thinking of you:)

    LeAnna:)

  • I've had 2 c-sections. My first one was after a failed induction. The next was 10 months ago I had a spinal it went perfectly and so quick. If everything continues to go well I'll be having another one in sept :) like the others have said don't spend time worrying about the stuff you can't change. Hang in there girl

  • I wasn't told of half of those risks when i had my c sections, it would have freaked me out too. Thank God for Pre meds to calm you down prior to delivery. Try and stay postitive hon,

  • The risks are real but you do know theres a risk of needing hysterectomy post vaginal birth too woman during natural births hemorrhage too. Also theres a risk of but urinary and bowel incontinence with vaginal birth. All in all the risks are very small. I had surgery down there twice not c section but reproductive surgery including a major operation and both times I had to sign away saying I accepted the 3% chance they would peforate my bowel. Try to not think about what you can't change.

  • I'm sorry hunni. I would be seriously freaking just like you if I needed one, but I hope you find some calm soon. I know a few who've had them and some who have had 3 or 4 and never had a problem.

I still hope babies decided to move and are head down in time for a vaginal birth, but if not you will still get to meet your children soon. Hugs

  • I THINK I WOULD FEEL THE SAME WAY IF I WAS YOU BUT I HAD MY FIRST C-SECTION AT AGE 19 I WAS VERY YOUNG I DIDNT REALLY HAVE THE EDUCATION BACK THEN THAT I KNOW NOW BUT IF I DID I WOULD TOTALLY FEEL THE SAME BUT TRY TO STAY POSITIVE IM 23 AND I'VE HAD THREE C-SECTIONS I KEPT MY MIND CLEAR AND KEPT SAYING TO MYSELF I CAN'T WAIT TO MEET MY BABY SO DON'T WORRY HAVE FAITH

  • I had a c-section and everything went fine (this was 5 weeks ago) but i did have to have blood transfusions :(

  • I know you're worried by them explaining all the possible side effects about a c-section. I had a c-section and i was terrified when they said I was going to have to, but when it was all over, I realized that I didn't have much to worry about. Try to think positively. easier to say than do, but good luck! funny thing tho, during my c-section, I was out cold, but I woke up and asked to see my placenta ..they showed it to me, and then I went out again...lol

  • Oh no! Don't wrap yourself up in all of the risks.. yes, it is important to know them but they are VERY rare. I only had a single child, not twins, but I had a C-section (baby was breech) and it was WAY better than I ever expected. I made a video talking about how the C-Section went and my recovery.. if you need a little peace of mind, go watch them. Just think IF you had a historectomy you have 2 beautiful, amazing babies to love! :o) Think positive hun!!

  • I'm sorry that your doc scared you, but they have to be honest and share the risks. Some of them I didnt even know. I only knew of one person out of hundreds who hemorrhaged like 2 weeks after having her baby via c section because of her uterus not clotting properly and everyone else was sore but fine. Im sure everything will be great!

  • Oh no! I am not sure I would have liked to hear all that from my doctor if I were going to get a c-section!!! I hope u can at least find some comfort in knowing that the chances of those things happening are relatively pretty low.
