Fedor #1 Not Spider. Like him too, but Fedor is from another planet, man. I think the record in heavyweight division among all type of fighting sports (boxing, kickboxing, MMA and so on) like Fedor has is unique.
These were very smart, thoughtful choices, nunnker. I agree almost 100%. My only knock on Anderson (and I'm a HUGE fan of his) is that despite AMAZING striking, he's got a weakness versus grapplers.
He survived bad spots and won against guys like Hendo, Marquardt and Lutter, but he's still got improvements to make (takedown and sub defense, clinch wrestling). Until he does, he's my number 2. Only because beating Anderson might just take the right matchup (Maia, Palhares) Forrest wasn't it.
It sounds to me like you spend a lot of time on the internet. Did you really put Fedor down there? Fedor is not one of my fav fighters but look at the people he has fought!? You say his fighst aren't that impressive. Are you kidding? And if you really think that there is no one that can Challenger Machida you are blind. LHW is STACKED! There are plenty of fighters that can give him a good fight.
I genuinly believe that the only reason why Fedor keeps putting UFC off is because he doesn't want anything to do with Brock Lesnar and that's why his group keep using this 'we want half of the UFC shares because Fedor is making all the money' crap just to cover up the real fact! Brock is a freak in the octagon and I believe that he will go on a huge undefeated streak just like anderson.
I ain't just saying this like your typical GSP hater because I actually used to like the guy till I saw him cheating against BJ Penn at UFC104. I believe it was at the end of 2nd round and GSP's corner were caught greasing him up and that's terrible, he could have ended BJ's career by doing stunts like that and apparently in an interview with BJ, he said that it wasn't the first time GSP had been caught greasing up during fights!
Dwayne, are you still clinging to the Greasegate theory? Obviously this was an overblown, BS charge. Look at the footage again, there wasn't enough vaseline there to lube GSP's lips. The only evidence of vaseline was the sheen on Nurse's fingertips. We're talking trace amounts transfered (obviously by accident) to a small, 1-inch circle on GSP's chest and the opposite spot on his back. There was no cheating. No wrongdoing. NSAC saw this for what it was and shut the book on it. Case closed.
I don't think it was just a little bit, watch the footage and you can see them rubbing it off his entire back and off his chest, so it wasn't just a little bit. And BJ is a black belt in ju-jitsu yet when he though GSP, when he was on his back and trying to bring his legs up for a triangle attempt, his legs kept slipping off, explain that one!
No point in clinging on to greasegate. I don't think GSP is a cheat, why would he have to, he's the best welterweight in the world. Yes it was stupid of the corner to do that but to me it made no difference. GSP destroyed BJ physically and mentally. BJ was too tired and beaten to catch GSP in any triangle attempts.
The officials were wiping his entire back, not Phil Nurse.
And it's easy to explain: sweat. It was the second round of an intense grappling match. They were sweaty and BJ was exhausted.
If you watch the fight, BJ gets rubber guard twice. He lets it go without ever committing to it. BJ is famous for his flexibility. We've seen him bend his legs much further, effortlessly. Why then could he not hold a fully secured rubber guard? Same reason he couldn't get that high guard. He was too tired.
Well it's strange that GSP, one of the fittest athletes in the world is sweating more than what a hard working heavyweight would in his fights!
Also, when the officials were wiping him down, they didn't seem to think it was just sweat did they. And if it had of been sweat like you say it was, the officials wouldn't have been watching him like a hawk for the rest of the fight would they.
GSP's athleticism and fitness is precisely why he'd sweat more. He's always outworking his opponents, constantly pushing them beyond their endurance, without ever tiring or slowing down. That he'd sweat is just biology. He's burning tons of energy.
And the officials couldn't possibly know what was what. They heard an accusation and overreacted. They couldn't tell by looking. Neither can you. You're only going by BJ's legs slipping, which was only due to the sweat and BJ gassing.
Shogun will ko Machida. Shogun used to train with Anderson Silva, Shogun's muay Thai wont fall for that bullshit karate shit like Thiago Silva did. Shogun is the best LHW in the world.
This will be highest fedor will be ranked in a long time. From here on out its just a steady decline. Hes not getting an immediate title shot in strikeforce like he would have in UFC, in stead he will be fighting 2 exhibition warm up fights which do nothing for the company, and nothing for fedors legacy. Its shocking to me that fedor doesnt care about his legacy that he built with blood sweat and tears but instead cares about promoting M-1 global. It just makes no sense to me.
Dude i am telling you that Anderson Silva gives me a headache, i just cant wrap my head around how talented that man is, i have been in aw of him for a long time know, but after that Forrest fight i am speechless, you take martial arts, tell me how dose he generate so much power in his punches?
Nah man, no joke here. Hong Man Choi's got it all - wrestling ability, pin-point striking, mean elbows and knees, a great chin, bone-snapping kicks, and on top of all that.....he dwarfed Fedor Emelianenko so much that it made him look like a balding fat 5 year old.

I agree with you 100% The only reason he wont move up a weight class to fight anderson silva is because there would be too much on the line.

i respect your opinion kid...
but i have something to say to you. If you like mma, i sugest you see more fights from others than the UFC..your whole view may gonna change...

eh would be kinda dumb putting someone with a 4-1 record on the list.
Yeah Brock has beaten 3 of the world best heavyweights but wait till he's had at least 12 or so fights.
Oh and Fedor would problably destroy Lesner.
