cant under estimate the power of sohc. i did 14.8's on the 1/4 mile with bolt ons, stock motor, and jux gutted the car and i smoked alot of cars with jux that. its under chueyi if u need proof. im the silver hatch with the black hood.

He has USDM ZC and it's weight about 100-150lbs more than a stock USDM 90-91 USDM CRX Si, but he would have more power and torque. That would make it more even. I tried it for fun on private property and he got smoked. I will see what happens with a weight reduction.
I also I weigh more than an ITR and have less power. Would be about the same standard as a CRX Vs ITR.

That may be, but Honda made this Intergra so that buying the Type R badge magically brought out the reworked head, valves, camshafts and valve springs hidden inside the engine out. Once you superglue said badge on, the car's computer upgrades to meet the Type R standard. @JustttBlaze Ummm.... look up Monkey Wrench Racing's drag celica. It's a 1.8 2zz-ge with vvtl-i. I have a feeling that it would beat your ls. haha And actually after a couple years they ended up custom building it to make it only a short stroke 1.5 2zz. It was pushing around 660 hp as a 1.8 l with about 20psi and the 1.5 pushed 666 hp with 33 psi. Remember that's on a 1.5 liter engine. lol. Dont act like this is the nicest 1.8 l engine out there. Toyota's 2zz-ge is far superior.
1. Like you, I believe in torque over power. However, these cars have more potential than most vehicles out there (this is coming from someone who doesn't like Hondas but respects them for what they are).
2. Drag isn't the only race style out there. Your '72 Monte will be walked on any track that has any real curves by these 2. I've learned first hand to never underestimate Hondas, especially those with any R substance to them.

I dunno how you can think 195 peak hp is any where comparable to 86 hp. running on alchohal lol!

@TrueBIue00 even if it is an LS, brother make ure research on what a riced car is or looks like..his car is no way near "riced up" like you say..it did a pretty good job on beatin the crx,,cause crxs are very light and when a car is very light hp is not a problem..do the math..

And yes, weight reduction will make you keep up with cars that have twice the HP you have. At Jim Russell racing, they used Formula X FR02 with a 170bhp 2.0L Ford focus engine. Overall, the formula owned the Ferrari 458 Italia. Jim Russell is the official Ferrari test track here in Mont-Tremblant by the way. The comparison was made by one of their racing instructor. @Troy23King I agree. I would find it more believable if it was an ls to keep win like above to a stock gutted rex with minor mods. but a stock type R vs a rex would be a bit more of a gap. Ive raced rexs with swaps and theres no way i am near that at all. but then again I had a mucho modded ek hatch. with a gsr.. an major upgrades.. i may have to rethink it

@JustttBlaze Ummm.... look up Monkey Wrench Racing's drag celica. It's a 1.8 2zz-ge with vvtl-i. I have a feeling that it would beat your ls. haha And actually after a couple years they ended up custom building it to make it only a short stroke 1.5 2zz. It was pushing around 660 hp as a 1.8 l with about 20psi and the 1.5 pushed 666 hp with 33 psi. Remember that's on a 1.5 liter engine. lol. Dont act like this is the nicest 1.8 l engine out there. Toyota's 2zz-ge is far superior.

Here is where you become enlightened.
1. Like you, I believe in torque over power. However, these cars have more potential than most vehicles out there (this is coming from someone who doesn't like Hondas but respects them for what they are).
2. Drag isn't the only race style out there. Your '72 Monte will be walked on any track that has any real curves by these 2. I've learned first hand to never underestimate Hondas, especially those with any R substance to them.
