Please go to a family who never owned one of these dogs but lost a family member due to an attack. Explain to them how the dog's living conditions are a reasonable excuse for the death. The dog was originally bred for bull baiting. When that was banned in England, they were turned against one another in dogfighting and have been bred to be heavy and strong for that reason. Just like the poodle is small today (other than the nobs who are breeding for size now) because it was bred for hunting small animals over hundreds of years. and why is it that they are responsible for as you say 59 percent of attacks? could it be because over 90 percent of pitbulls are abused, beaten or neglected in some way? these dogs are victims, perhaps when people open their eyes to the real problem (human) we can get the "bite statistics" down. in the meantime i will continue to love these dogs that i volunteer with and get kissed and loved and sat on by 60 pound "vicious" pitties. i am so glad i do not listen to the media, or i would miss out

The dog was originally bred for bull baiting. When that was banned in England, they were turned against one another in dogfighting and have been bred to be heavy and strong for that reason. Just like the poodle is small today (other than the nobs who are breeding for size now) because it was bred for hunting small animals over hundreds of years. And it isn't an objection to biting that is the problem. it is the DEATHS from attacks. All just lovely dogs, eh? A cobra would be a safer pet.

I lost mah pit Ricky to BSL. I and pissed. HOW CAN THEY BLAME THE DOGS!! It's not der fault. I saw dis video, and started balling. I loved Ricky so much, and to just kno they took him from meh and ended his life kills me. He did nothing wrong. I can't see how they could blame a dog before they even got to know it, I AM AGAINST BSL! NO ONE SHOULD LET THESE POOR ANIMALS DIE!!

Pits are such sweet dogs when they are treeted right, I wish that people eould stop treating them like dirt. All they need is lots of love and some kind harted training, it dosent take much to make them happy, just love and excersize and mabey a few toys. My pit is just a big 'ol happy goof ball, and that's what most pits are. Dog's can't help it if there owners are stupid and mean. It's the bad owners that should be prosecuted, not the sweet pit bulls.

CLAPPING!! Pittbull is one of the greater brand of dog ever, i had 2 pittbull in the past and i have a rottweiler now, they were both big teddy bear who never been agresive. The fault is all on the onwner, pittpul are strong dog but we cannot hate them for it. Pittbull have a BIG heart and they will do anything to have master's abbrobation. The only probblem is what some stupid onwer want them to do. If some people want to accuse someone, accuse human being with his dark side.

yo guys listen up. i'm from greece and every time i take my pit out 4 a walk everyone is to scared to walk beside her..WHY??cause they all think that pit bulls are born with the will to kill..BULLSHIT...my family has always had pit bulls like since i was born..i have grown up with pit bulls..i'm 18 now and i have never been bitten from a pit bull...that's all i want to say..they love you and you have to love them...very touchin video BTW...see ya.

Hi the same thing happens in Ireland,see a pit bull and everyone cringes but its the owners we should be afraid of, they think they are big and macho with a pit bull on a leash. Every breed should be treated the same as ive had german shephards down to a little bischon frise and all have been so loving and loyal to adults and children

I wish to adopt a pit bull when I get older.
I have 4 dogs now. A German Shepard, a carin terrier a corgi and a bearded collie/chow mix.
My older cousin Adopted a pit. Her name is baily and she is the happiest dog in the world. :) I love pit bulls. I cant wait to get older and rescue them. 5 stars. Very good work.

i saved him coz he was going to be put to sleep in a dog pound that i work in.
but then the boss found out, they came to my house. they took him from me, just because he was a pitbull. next day my boss came to say SORRY nd dat he was afraid dat Max could bite or even kill me. he was neuthrlised. taken from me and killed. I WILL NEVER FORGET YOU MAX!!!! I LOVE YOU SOO MUCH!!!!!!!!! R.I.P.

That brings tears to my eyes...Viciousness is specifically bred into certain dog breeds, mostly pits. It is not what type of dog (or lion...lame example)that lives next to you, but what the intent of your neighbor is to do with the dog. There should be a CGC requirement for humans who want to breed themselves.

How bout I move in next door to you with the family of lions I grew up with. Dont worry, we've had them since they were cubs, they are really affectionate, and have never hurt *us*. I'm sure your kids should be ok. I'll try to make sure they dont escape the enclosure I'm building. Are you happy to put your safety in my hands?

you are sooooo right!!! I am a mother of 2 as well as a dog owner, my dog is a Jack Russell. You have to teach kids and dogs with the same respect. its the owners responsibility to raise their dogs with proper training. Puppies and children do what they are taught.
